NH Geneva Airport

Tucked beside Riantbosson Park, the NH Geneva Airport is a contemporary and comfortable choice for those seeking proximity to the airport and business travelers headed to the Palexpo center. Housed in a circular brick building with red framed windows in a largely industrial area, the hotel features modern interiors. The lobby is awash in dark neutral shades courtesy of beige marble flooring and dark wooden wall paneling, which create a sleek, business-like setting brightened by a collection of blocky red and white sofas. A circular marble staircase with glass railings leads down to the restaurant, which in contrast is a sunlit, airy space with a large atrium ceiling that illuminates the light wood floors and furnishings. The inviting space has a large buffet area where breakfast is served daily, and there's also an adjoining bar with beige armchairs and wooden chairs scattered about around wooden tables.

The hotel is located in Meyrin, beside the Riantbosson Park on the south end of the airport. Despite the lush greenery, the area is a bit bleak and uninteresting, home to car dealerships and a few restaurants and cafes, which are only accessible by car. The airport can be reached in five minutes via the free hotel shuttle, which runs every 20 minutes and also makes stops at the Palexpo exhibition center on request. The CERN research foundation also takes five minutes by car. Old Town -- with a lively cafe, nightlife and cultural scene -- is 30 minutes by tram and full of sights like the Grand Theater, Maison Tavel, Saint Pierre Cathedral, and Barbier-Mueller Museum. The Jet d'eau Geneva is a 45-minute tram ride. 

Interiors have tasteful and masculine decor: neutral hues, dark wood furnishings, hardwood floors, plus touches of red, striped, or checkered textiles. All rooms have work desks, flat-screen TVs, tea- and coffee-making facilities, minibars, and free Wi-Fi. Junior Suites have leather sofa beds in sitting areas as well as a few extras like Nespresso machines, bathrobes, and slippers; two of them have kitchenettes. All of the rooms can sleep up to three people, besides the Standard Single Rooms. Clean, modern bathrooms with horizontal white tiles are outfitted in shower/tub combos (single rooms have small walk-in showers), hairdryers, and magnifying mirrors. 

The hotel restaurant, Le Pavillon, serves Mediterranean and French cuisine in a bright, sunlit dining room. A breakfast buffet is served daily here, though not included in standard rates. There’s also a bar, which offers light bites and various sandwiches and has a comfy lounge with a flat-screen TV. The 24-hour Open Bar snack station is located in the lobby and sells a selection of snacks, beverages, and microwaveable meals, with a microwave available for use alongside it.

The hotel's fitness center is small and equipped with only an elliptical trainer, exercise bike, and a flat-screen TV, but there’s also a sauna, shower, balcony, and lounge area that adjoin. Four red-carpeted meeting rooms can respectively fit between 12 to 70 people, depending on the chosen layout, and are equipped with audiovisual equipment. There is a business center in the lobby with two PC computers and a printer. Wi-Fi is free throughout. And there's an ample underground parking lot.
