Hotel d’Angleterre is located on the Right Bank, overlooking Lake Geneva and the famous Jet d'Eau, the tallest fountain in the world. The hotel is within walking distance of the major train station, as well as numerous stores and restaurants. The heart of the Old Town is also within walking distance, but there’s also public transportation nearby for those who prefer that option.
The Quai du Mont-Blanc is an elegant avenue located along the lake shore. There’s a wide array of cafes and stores here, and the tree-lined eastern sidewalk of the street is perfect for enjoying the views of Lake Geneva and the mountains while strolling around.
Geneva is a picturesque city, divided into two banks by Lake Geneva, and surrounded by mountains. During the winters, visitors and locals head to the mountains to ski; ski resorts such as Verbier and Crans-Montana are conveniently only about an hour from the heart of the city.
