Scene

Cozy, charming hotel

This charming hotel is located in a beautiful, older building with flower boxes on all of the front-facing windows. The tiny entryway has a homey feel, with a small wooden reception desk dressed up with fresh flowers and cute touches like a statue of a girl dressed up as a witch. Nestled next to the desk are the wooden stairs that lead to the rooms. Upstairs is a bright, elegant breakfast room with various comfortable upholstered couches and chairs, vintage whitewashed furniture, and an armoire filled with books. The backyard garden cafe is a gorgeous, peaceful area to relax and grab a drink. It's open to the public so it has a fun atmosphere.

Location

Within the old city walls, walking distance to many main sights

Many visitors come to the area to visit the beautiful Santiago de Compostela Cathedral, the supposed burial site of Saint James the Great, and a place of pilgrimage since the Middle Ages. The hotel is within walking distance to the cathedral, as well as many other attractions, restaurants, shops, and bars.- 2-minute walk Museum of Pilgrimages of Santiago

Rooms

Small, dated rooms with charming touches

The 14 rooms are small and compact, but feel cozy and comfortable. Charming touches like intricate carvings on the wood headboards and furniture, sky lights, and sitting rooms add unexpected charm and elegance. All the rooms have hardwood floors, flat-screen TVs, a desk, and armoire. The beds are two twin beds pushed together and have striped bedspreads. Bathrooms are small and slightly dated looking. The tiled floors and walls show their age, with dark spots in between the grout. A thin floral tile lines the walls, creating a narrow border. The sink is small with no counter, and the shower and tub have a curtain and water-stained faucets.

Features

Indoor and outdoor bar, garden, and breakfast room

The gorgeous backyard garden is a definite highlight of the hotel. Guests can relax and grab a drink at the small bar surrounded by lush apple and lemon trees, bright flowers, and a small fountain. It is open to the public, which brings a fun after work crowd. The bar has an indoor area, which is cozy and warm, with stone walls, and small nooks to enjoy a drink. Upstairs, there is an elegant breakfast room, filled with lots of natural light where guests can relax, read a book, or enjoy the breakfast buffet.
