A small corridor from the street leads to a private stone patio area with wicker chairs and plants that sit in front of the entrance of the hotel. The narrow lobby is bright and filled with natural light. It has stone walls and floors, a comfortable white couch, and unique artwork. This is a great hotel for couples or tourists who want to explore the city. The hotel has a fun-loving atmosphere but still feels serene and calm.

Rooms

Small, contemporary rooms with sleek decor

Rooms are small but chic with contemporary decor. Plush double beds rest against a light grey accent wall with a detailed double canvas painting, which invokes a serene atmosphere. The desk, chair, bedside table, and closet are made of dark wood and have sharp modern and minimalist lines. Some of the rooms have unique attributes, like stone detailing, vaulted ceilings, or a private balcony. Each has a mini-fridge, climate control, an armoire with extra pillows, and a safe. The bathrooms are contemporary with large white tiles lining the floor and walls and a single sink set in a long vanity. Shower/tub combinations include rainfall showerheads. Stainless steel hairdryers and makeup mirrors mounted to the wall are nicer than average.

Features

A modern restaurant and bar area

Hotel Carris Casa de la Troya is a small boutique hotel, so it doesn't have the space for many features. The hotel features a great, casual little restaurant on a balcony with black chairs and tables, modern art, and giant white beanbags in one corner and serves a breakfast buffet every morning. Below the balcony is a snack bar where guests can grab a small bite or enjoy a cappuccino after a long day exploring the city. It has small cafe tables, hip bright lanterns hanging from the ceiling, and a large window that looks out onto the street. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel and though there is on-site parking, guests pay extra for it. The reception desk is open 24 hours to accommodate late arrivals or early morning concierge services.
