Bottom Line

The Club Jandia Princess is a modern four-pearl hotel with direct staircase access to Esquinzo Beach and a private nudist area with a small pool. With several all-inclusive restaurants, a gorgeous Zen Pool, adult-only wellness facilities, a small petting zoo, and a good range of sporting facilities, this destination has all the essential holiday amenities for both adults and families. It was completely renovated in 2012, and the 512 modern rooms (divided between adult-only and family rooms) are nicely decorated and feature standard mod-cons including air-conditioning and flat-screen televisions -- though the extra charge for Wi-Fi and some restaurants is disappointing. Scene

Modern beach resort that caters to both couples and families, with separate adult-only area

Located above a beautiful wide beach, this vibrant holiday village has a mix of adult-only and family rooms in a series of attractive white stone buildings. There are plenty of facilities to keep both groups happy, including several pools and restaurants. At first glance, the property is bright and welcoming with a modern central atrium that has a greenhouse vibe. Leafy foliage and crisp white armchairs fill the open plan lobby, with a bar on one side and plenty of quiet seating nooks.  During our 2017 visit we spotted a mix of German, English, French, and Italian families and couples of all ages. Given its modern interiors and well-kept communal areas, this is a great choice for an upscale beach holiday near Morro Jable.

Location

Situated above Esquinzo Beach and a 15-minute drive from Morro Jable

The Club Jandia Princess is located amidst a cluster of similar resorts, above sandy Esquinzo Beach. The beach can be accessed from both the adult and family areas, via a steep staircase, which can be difficult for some guests. The hotel is a five-minute walk from the nearest supermarket and well located for exploring the island. Fuerteventura's traditional town of Morro Jable is a 15-minute drive away. Solana Matorral (a nine-minute drive) is also worth a visit, with plenty of attractions including the skeleton of a sperm whale and a picturesque lighthouse. The main street  is lined with international restaurants and souvenir shops. The popular beach town of Cofete, within Jandia National Park, is an hour-drive away. From the hotel, Fuerteventura airport is around a 70-minute drive away.

Rooms

Tasteful, modern rooms with air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and electric kettles

Divided between adult-only and family areas, all 512 rooms at the Club Jandia Princess are fresh and welcoming, with light wood-veneer furniture and lots of natural light. Standard Double Rooms in the adult area have an open plan bedroom and seating area with sofa bed. Suites upgrade to sea views, balinese beds, and a larger selection of hotel branded toiletries. Suites in the family area have a small private garden or garden views. Features across all rooms are similar, with electric kettles, air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, and mini-fridges, but there's a fee for Wi-Fi and electronic safe rental. Balconies have sun shades, tables and chairs, and are relatively spacious. En-suite bathrooms have a bath and shower, hotel branded toiletries, fresh white towels, and a hairdryer. Families can request interconnecting rooms, and adapted rooms for disabled guests are available on request.

Features

Several pretty pools, beach access, sports facilities, and three restaurants

This hotel has an excellent range of holiday features, including six swimming pools, spacious sundecks, and three restaurants. Many of the spaces are divided into adult-only and family-friendly features. The main adult-only chill out pool has a swim-up bar and beautiful ocean views. A musician plays live music every day on the nearby terrace. The vibe is relaxed in the morning and lively in the afternoon. Balinese beds with wine, water, and fruit can be rented for a daily fee. Established landscaped gardens and wooden bridges separate the largest main pool into smaller sections. For those looking for something to do poolside, a schedule of sports activities is available including water aerobics, table tennis, archery, darts, billiards, and beach volleyball. Children are well looked after with a heated outdoor kids' pool, mini-club for 4 to 12 year olds, and children’s food served at the lunchtime buffet. A small farm has sheep, goats, rabbits, hens, and a vegetable patch. Kids get access to an evening mini-disco. Babysitting service can be arranged for a fee. Food is served on a mostly all-inclusive basis, and the hotel operates on a colored wristband system. Those who have paid for a premium package have a black wristband, that includes a bottle of Cava and all premium drinks. The main buffet restaurant serves breakfast and dinner, and seats 650 guests, with family and adult-only seating areas overlooking the ocean. A variety of themed evenings including Mexican, Asian, and local cuisines. A small bakery area offers different types of bread and a pizza station. The El Lagar is a large a la carte dinner restaurant with a vineyard vibe, serving traditional Spanish and local food. The hotel’s main outdoor restaurant, La Choza, serves meals throughout the day including pizza, burgers, and sandwiches. A small sports bar has a gaming area and pool tables, and the 200-seat theatre has live music throughout the week. It’s worth noting that all restaurants require a dress code of long trousers in the evening. There is wellness area in the adult-only section with a sauna, whirlpool, and whirlpool bath, plus a separate nudist area with a sauna and steam room. Massages can be arrange at the hotel via an external company. A large gym with weights is free for guests in the adults area, but incurs a charge for those in family rooms. Three synthetic grass tennis courts can be rented for a fee at the sports center opposite the hotel.  An on-site shopping arcade sells clothes, jewelry, and souvenirs. Guests can book a private photographer for a photo shoot, which is popular with honeymooners. There is free on-street parking available outside the hotel. Free Wi-Fi is available in the lobby and the front desk can help with booking excursions, tours, and rental cars. A computer area is free for guest use.
