One side of the property faces the highway, while the back side is green and scenic, looking down onto the water and offering park areas and pathways to explore. While the area is pretty, a nearby farm and the proximity to the highway can make some rooms a bit noisy. A number of restaurants are within a five-minute walk, as are several museums and shops, and the charming downtown area includes a number of wineries, music venues, art galleries, and festival sites. San Antonio takes an hour to reach by car and getting to Dallas takes closer to four hours.
