Bottom Line

The 25hours Hotel By Levi's blends American style with sleek German design to create a hip haven near Frankfurt's central train station. The 76 colorful rooms offer trendy decor, mini-fridges, and flat-screen TVs. The hotel’s stylish computer room and two meeting rooms make it a good choice for business travelers and there's also a rooftop terrace, a trendy restaurant/bar, and a music room. However, it's in a part of town that can feel seedy at night. The Dormero Hotel Frankfurt gets better reviews for its location.

Scene

A modern hotel with funky Levi designs, trendy touches, a restaurant, and a rooftop terrace

The six-floor 25hours Hotel by Levi’s offers hip and trendy interior designs that reflect its "Check in and rock out" motto. The outside of the hotel is plastered with Levi’s advertisements and the reception area looks like a Levi's store, with hanging lampshades silkscreened with images of models and an American flag on the wall near the front desk. There’s a lounge with funky booth seating and large windows that look out on the street. Hallways are clean, with faux worn wood floors and blue and black painted walls. The eye-catching stairwells have red railings and colorful designs on the walls. The overall vibe is trendy and colorful, and the hotel's central location and two modern meeting rooms make it a good choice for business and leisure travelers alike.

Location

In the heart of central Frankfurt, near the Hauptbahnhof (central station)

The hotel is a four-minute walk from Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof (central station), in an area with plenty of bars and restaurants. The Congress Center Messe Frankfurt takes around five minutes by car or 15 minutes on foot and the Messe Frankfurt Torhaus conference center is a 10-minute drive away. It’s a 14-minute walk to the Staedel Museum. The famous Zeil shopping street is an eight-minute subway ride or 19-minute walk. The airport is about 15 minutes by car or tram. Overall, the hotel is in a convenient location, but the area can sometimes feel seedy after dark.

Rooms

Trendy, colorful rooms with modern decor, flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, and fun details

Just like pairs of Levis, rooms come in M, L, and XL. There are also rooms with bunk beds. Patterned wallpaper and black-and-white Americana and rock band photographic prints add a quirky touch. Features include safes, writing desks, air-conditioning, minibars, and iPod docks, and Wi-Fi is free in all rooms (and throughout the hotel). Bunk Rooms have beanbag chairs and feel like dorms, and each bed comes with its own tiny wall-mounted TV. L Rooms have sitting areas and rainfall shower heads.  XL Rooms offer sitting areas and kettles. Bathroom floor tiles and the walls of the walk-in showers are designed to resemble the texture of denim. Bathrooms in XL Rooms have separate tubs.

Features

Restaurant and bar, funky music room, a sleek business center, and contemporary meeting rooms

The Chez IMA restaurant and bar -- which often has live music performances -- serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in a room that features acid washed wallpaper, denim throw cushions, and dangling silver-colored light fixtures. Near the courtyard parking lot is the restaurant’s small terrace, offering picnic tables and wooden planked wall details. The rooftop terrace -- which can be reserved for private events of up to 150 people -- has a bar with patio furniture and city views. Colorful lights, music posters, a drum set and a jukebox decorate the hotel’s Gibson Music Room, which also features amps and a Red Bull Bar. The room can be booked for private gatherings. Also on-site is a business room that offers funky blue metallic wallpaper, silver doors, a mannequin wearing Levis, and an Apple desktop computer with a printer. There are also two modern meeting rooms, with contemporary furniture, modern audiovisual equipment, and conference tables that feature Levi’s ads. The smaller room can fit up to 25 people while the larger can accommodate around 60 guests. Pets are allowed for a fee and guests should expect to pay extra for breakfast and parking, but there are some unusual freebies available, including iPads, iPods, and bicycles to borrow, and even the free use of a mini-car.
