Built in 1910, the hotel comprises five different two-story buildings with charming front porches and white picket fencing. With its casually elegant conch-style buildings, clapboard siding, breezy porch walkways, and tropical landscaping, the property is the quintessential, old-timey Key West retreat. The lobby is located in the main building, and is decorated simply with pale blue walls and beige tile floors, offset by white ceiling beams for a homey and beach-appropriate atmosphere. Coffee and chilled water are offered on a counter in the lobby. The outdoor, heated pool -- also surrounded by a picket fence -- has a beautiful red-brick deck and a waterfall. The lack of space at the pool area means there aren’t any lounge chairs available. However, a sun deck on the second floor does offer lounge chairs, patio furniture, and street views.
