Scene

Rustic Tuscan luxury

A white stone building with arched and black-shuttered windows sits surrounded by landscaped, terraced gardens. Inside it is elegantly rustic and definitively Tuscan, with arched and frescoed ceilings. There are tufted Chesterfield sofas and museum-quality artwork throughout the lobby and common areas, including the library, which has shelves of books and plenty of tables for enjoying a glass of wine from the hotel’s extensive collection. Above a red-carpeted staircase lined with hurricane lanterns is a large glass ceiling.

Location

In the countryside, north of the city

The villa is located on top of a hill in the small town of Fiesole, just above Florence. It’s about a 15-minute drive into the city. The hotel's free shuttle service into the city runs every hour from morning to evening, with a break for lunch. Guests looking to return during lunch, or have dinner in Florence, will need to take a taxi.

Rooms

Old-world elegance with modern touches

The 45 rooms, including 22 suites, with ochre walls and wide-plank dark hardwood floors, have a rustic elegance that matches the rest of the hotel. Beds have quilted fabric headboards and there are large picture windows, some with views of the Duomo. The Salviati De Luxe Rooms have arched windows with beautiful brickwork, while the Tegliac and Melodia suites, with fireplaces and leather couches, show old-world sophistication. All rooms include flat-screen TVs, Nespresso coffee machines, safes, robes, and minibars with free water. Bathrooms have LED-lit rain showers, and some have whirlpools or antique tubs. Room service is available.

Features

Gourmet restaurant, infinity pools, spa, and gym

The Le Serre restaurant is open in the winter, with food service moving outside to the terrace and the pool area, with its three infinity pools, in the summer. The hotel has a large wine bar, with hundreds of bottles on display in climate-controlled storage. The spa offers massages, facials and body treatments, and there is a fitness center, as well as a meeting room.
