Scene
A historic hotel with beautiful, classic decor and a modern twist
This historic hotel was renovated, bringing a breath of fresh air to its traditionally classic look. The lobby is elegant yet vibrant. A beautiful glass-domed doorway leads to the sumptuous lobby. Colored marble floors, arched ceilings painted with gorgeous scenes, ornately detailed moldings, and classical sculptures fill the various rooms. Modern touches, such as neutral-colored striped walls and contemporary couches, keep the lobby bright, modern, and original.

Elegant, classically styled rooms with modern elements and nature-inspired decor
The guest rooms are elegant and classic, with subtle modern splashes, such as the hanging lighting fixtures and sleek white furniture. Rooms range from Standard Rooms to Junior Suites. While Deluxe Rooms are larger and slightly more luxurious than Standard Rooms, both share a natural motif decor, with wall murals of vines, framed pictures of plants, headboards with outlines of leaves, and lamps in the shape of tree stumps. All the rooms include flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, desks, safes, and coffeemakers. Standard Room bathrooms come with hairdryers and toiletries. Deluxe Room bathrooms are small but refined, with mosaic-tiled floors, modern vessel-style sinks, shower/tub combos with glass walls, bidets, and toiletries.
Features
Rooftop terrace with views of the Duomo, two restaurants, a spa, fitness center, and meeting rooms
One of the biggest highlights of this hotel is the chic, sophisticated rooftop Michelangelo Terrace and bar, with comfortable cushioned couches, large umbrellas, and a fantastic panoramic view that includes the Duomo, Palazzo Vecchio, and the Bargello. There are two restaurants at the hotel: DOC Donnini American Bar offers an intimate setting, with drinks available from the bar; it's where the daily breakfast buffet is served. There is also DOC Donnini Restaurant, which offers an elegant, more formal scene. It is owned by the same management as the historic Caffe Donnini. The hotel also has a small spa with a Turkish bath, treatment rooms, a relaxation area that serves tea, and a small fitness room with various machines, although they are not state-of-the art. The hotel also has two small meeting rooms.
