Scene

Charming bed-and-breakfast with pretty courtyard and outdoor space

Looking every bit like a classic Tuscan home, Fiorenza B&B is a square white house set with olive green shutters
partially obscured by a tall, leafy tree. Past the entrance, there’s a small lobby area with
a large map and travel books for guests to peruse. The back half of the house is centered around a columned courtyard opening onto a covered patio with a foosball table and wooden patio furniture. Beyond that, the wide grassy lawn gives a leafy place to rest. At times, children’s toys are strewn about the yard.
Breakfast is served in a bright kitchen/dining area with pink-and-white striped walls, bistro tables, and terra-cotta floors. Framed pictures, tall windows, and white linen table runners create a lovely dining space. The kitchen, available for guests to use
for making snacks, is both cozy and modern with white cabinets, brass towel racks,
and a copper range hood. Overall the property is warm and homey, with the added bonus of a generous host who can assist with local recommendations.

Location

In a quiet neighborhood far from tourist attractions

Fiorenza B&B is located in a quiet neighborhood
near the old city walls and over two miles from the city center. It’s less than
a 10-minute walk to hop on a bus toward the main attractions, and the total trip time takes around 30
minutes to reach the Duomo, Uffizi Gallery, or Gallery of the Academy (housing
Michelangelo’s famous David statue). It’s less than a 10-minute drive to
Piazzale Michelangelo, one of the most panoramic points in Florence offering
amazing views, and the airport is less than a half hour drive.

Rooms

Clean rooms with homey decor and free Wi-Fi

The three guest rooms have a variety of homey decor, including velvet slipper chairs, overstuffed loveseats, and
gray, pink, or mint-green walls. An additional bed can be added on request to
one of the rooms. The pink room offers views of the pretty backyard. All rooms
have wall-mounted flat-screen TVs and free Wi-Fi. Private bathrooms have
white tiles, terra-cotta floors, and long mirrors. All are equipped with hairdryers and
stand-up showers, and the gray bedroom has a rain showerhead.

Features

Friendly owner, free breakfast, and outdoor patio

Guest praise the owner of this bed-and-breakfast for being remarkably warm, friendly, and helpful, from the communication leading up to their stay to the helpful maps
provided on arrival. A free breakfast -- including
fruit, cereal, and cooked items like scrambled eggs or quiche -- is served in a charming dining space with bistro tables. The kitchen is available for guests to prepare tea, coffee, and snacks (but not full meals). Out back, a covered patio provides a quiet spot to sit or play at the foosball table, and beyond that a big yard with a couple of lounge chairs gives a leafy place to stretch out. Wi-Fi is free throughout.
