Secluded among the pines far from the center of town, the Estes Park Condos is a collection of cabins and condo-style rooms designed for long stays. The mountain surroundings are gorgeous, with scenic views from every private deck. The Fall River runs through the property, and Estes Park Condos keeps the river stocked with trout and provides guests with fishing gear at no extra cost. The grounds, which include an outdoor hot tub, are well maintained, and there are several communal spaces, including a rustic event center that's become a popular wedding spot. The condos and cabins are individually owned, and so can vary in amenities. Estes Park Condos is a good choice for families and couples looking for a quiet escape in the mountains.
Scene
Mountain condos on the river
On a mountainside set back from the road, this peaceful property stretches along the Fall River, and the sound of running water and wind in the pines provides a natural soundtrack. The main buildings are more modern than the cabins, but their wood exteriors blend harmoniously with the natural surroundings. A tiny main office sits at the end of an accessibility ramp, stocked with books and literature and signs proclaiming the Condos' policies: No Pets, No Smoking, No Whining.
Location
Outside of town on a mountainside
Estes Park Condos is west of downtown on Fall River Road. There's little within easy walking distance of the complex, although it's only one mile from the north entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and three miles to the town center. Estes Park is a tourist haven in the heart of the Rockies, with quaint small-town shops and restaurants lining its main street. It's a great base for exploring Rocky Mountain National Park and other outdoor activities. Denver is about an hour-and-a-half drive through the mountains to the southeast.
Rooms
Modern rustic decor with full kitchens and private decks
Split between condo-style buildings and large private cabins, the rooms are individually owned and vary in decor and amenities. Some have outdated furnishings, and are not as well maintained as others. Natural pine predominates the decor, and most of the furniture and interiors have been left unpainted. Bathrooms may have small walk-in showers or shower/tub combos, and some have whirlpool tubs. All the rooms have full kitchens and private decks with great views of the river or surrounding woods, and flat-screen TVs. Some have fireplaces and private outdoor hot tubs. Free coffee and popcorn are restocked by housekeeping daily.
Features
Fishing, outdoor hot tubs, event center, picnic areas
Estes Park Condos stocks the Fall River several times a year with rainbow trout, so the fishing is always good. It also provides fishing poles and tackle for free. For guests looking to eat
their catch outdoors, there's picnic areas on the grounds and plenty
of gas grills to use. An outdoor hot tub sits on its own wooden deck
near the main building, a nice touch for those who didn't book a cabin with its
own. A popular site for weddings and reunions, Estes Park Condos makes
great use of its mountain views and two outdoor gazebos, which can accommodate up to 200 people for events. The 1,200-square-foot Fall River Room is both upscale and rustic, and can accommodate 60 with
additional seating on an outdoor deck.
