With colorful flowers, leafy trees, and manicured
lawns, Radisson Blu Vancouver Airport is attractive enough from the outside,
even if the building itself is older and looks a bit like a hospital. Inside,
the lobby is bright and spacious, with a seating area next to huge windows. The on-site Pier 73 restaurant is suspended over the water with marina views and has a rustic vibe, with a handsome wooden bar and decorative iron railings. Waterfront
patio seating is available. There’s a small pool that’s open
during the warmer months with lounge chairs and a seating area with wicker
couches and chairs. While the hotel has a bar, restaurant, and coffee shop, this is an airport hotel and most travelers are simply passing through on an overnight trip. Guests are a mix of business and leisure travelers needing easy airport access, and the
hotel has plenty of event space for weddings and private functions.

The hotel is located on the Fraser River, within a 10-minute drive of the Vancouver International Airport, which is easily accessible via the free airport shuttle. Guests can take the SkyTrain
across the street from the airport to reach Downtown Vancouver or take a cab directly from the hotel; both journeys take about half an hour. There aren’t many food choices right by the property, but there are a few shopping centers and restaurants across the bridge, a five-minute drive away. Steveston Heritage Fishing Village is around a 20-minute drive,
and Whistler Ski Resort will take about two hours to reach by car.

The rooms at Radisson Blu Vancouver Airport are pleasantly modern, though the look definitely verges on plain. Expect to see an abundance of neutrals, including beige walls and
carpeting plus simple dark wood veneer desks and nightstands. Sage-green padded headboards and framed black-and-white or colored pictures hanging on walls perk up the look a bit, and white bed linens have sharp rectangular trims that add a dash of class. All rooms
have flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. Bathrooms
have large mirrors, plenty of counter space, and shower/tub combos. Gilchrist & Soames toiletries are provided. Club Rooms and suites have extras such as mini-fridges,
bottled water, and bathrobes.

Like most larger airport hotels, there are a solid number of amenities on-site at the Radisson Blu Vancouver Airport. A farm-to-table restaurant overlooks the marina, and there’s also a coffee bar and an additional breakfast restaurant with buffet and a la carte options. The small outdoor pool is open seasonally and has lounge chairs for sunbathing, and there’s
a spacious fitness center with a wall-mounted TV, exercise machines, and free weights, plus thoughtful touches like a water cooler and a fridge stocked
with apples. The hotel has a souvenir and
snack shop as well as a business center with two computers and a printer. Wi-Fi is free throughout the property and there are 24 meeting spaces plus two ballrooms and two outdoor spaces
for private events. Wedding services are also available. Bicycle rentals can be arranged through the front desk and pets are allowed for a fee. On-site parking is available, but it costs extra.
