Location
On the outskirts of the Embassy district near Dublin Bay
Aberdeen Lodge is located on a quiet corner in the outskirts of the Embassy District. This means that it is closer to Dublin Bay and the lovely neighborhood of Sandymount than the bustle of Baggot Street. While it is not in the center of the action, there is a bus stop a five-minute walk away and the DART train is nearby as well. In addition, the new pay-as-you-go bike rental scheme has added to the ease of getting around Dublin. Taxis are also an affordable option.Dublin has changed dramatically in the last 15 years. First there was the boom of the Celtic Tiger that brought great development and growth to the city. As a result of this wave of wealth, the city now has a cosmopolitan feel that it never had before. Since the economic bust, restaurants and hotels have generally retained the same quality, but the city in general is less expensive. Dublin has beautiful gardens, museums, and theaters, but it is the everyday things in the Irish capital -- like sitting in a local pub and having a pint -- that are a high point for many visitors.- 22-minute drive to Dublin Airport
