The Country Club Hotel

The Country Club Hotel is located next to a large parking lot and set in a four-story low-rise building that doesn't impress. Interiors have a dated look, with lots of wood paneling on the walls and on the reception counter in the dark lobby. A few sofas and armchairs upholstered in navy blue and gray provide seating. This is a popular hotel that attracts business as well as leisure travelers, including families, but it can get noisy due to the multiple on-site party venues.

The Country Club Hotel is located in the city's Bur Dubai district, behind the New Gold Souk. The waterfront is a quick walk away, and there are few other tourist attractions located close by. The metro is not accessible from here, so guests need to get around by car or taxi.

Rooms and suites are spacious and classically decorated with patterned carpets, tasteful mahogany furniture, large windows, and several desk lamps that provide soft mood lighting. Some rooms feature terraces. Executive Rooms add sofa beds, while Suites have separate seating areas. Most bathrooms include shower/tub combos, granite sink tops, large mirrors, magnifying mirrors, and hairdryers. Suite bathrooms add whirlpool tubs and separate rainfall showers, plus a few extras like bathrobes. Amenities include 32-inch flat-screen TVs, minibars, and kettles.

Note that past guests have complained about noise from the on-site nightclubs, which stay open until early morning. The noise is particularly audible on the second and third floors of the hotel.  

The Country Club Hotel offers a host of extra features. There are four on-site restaurants, plus a 24-hour coffeeshop, Country Cafe, in the lobby. Qureshi’s Kebab & Curry has a menu of North Indian dishes, and there's a second Indian restaurant -- Moods -- with a Bollywood theme and live performances. Tiya Mairay serves traditional cuisine from the Philippines and has live music, DJs, and stand-up comedy nights. Aqua features a menu of Russian specialties and includes a nightclub. The Players Lounge is the on-site sports bar with regular DJ nights and sports games broadcasted on big-screen TVs. Breakfast is also available for a fee in a small breakfast room, but choices are limited. A pastry shop rounds out the edible features at the hotel. 

Wellness features include a rooftop pool that's just large enough to swim laps, an adjacent kids' pool, and a hot tub. The fitness center is spacious and equipped with several modern treadmills, stationary bicycles, ellipticals, free weights, and weight machines. The hotel also has a spa with a sauna, a steam room, and a whirlpool. Hair and beauty services are available in the salon.

Other on-site features include a 24-hour business center, a gift shop, a car rental desk, a concierge, and currency exchange. On-site parking is free and a valet parking service is also available. Wi-Fi is free throughout the hotel.
