The hotel is across the street from the Dubai DryDocks, making it a not-so-scenic setting. There are some restaurants in the immediate area, as well as the Etihad Museum, but a car or public transportation is needed to reach most sights. Jumeirah Beach is about a 10- to 15-minute drive away, and the hotel provides free shuttle transportation. Downtown Dubai, with the Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall, is a 15- to 20-minute drive, and Mall of the Emirates takes 20 minutes. The famous Palm Jumeirah takes around 30 minutes to reach by car. Dubai International Airport is 15 minutes away by taxi, without traffic.
