Barsha has a nicer atmosphere and is even closer to the mall and other sights.

Scene
Shiny and new but slightly lacking in personality
There is nothing grand about the exterior of the Grandeur Hotel, a shiny tower on busy, dusty road. Inside, the lobby is
sleek but somewhat cold, with marble floors, beige chairs and sofas arranged into a few sitting areas, and an artistic chandelier that resembles a cluster of bubbles. The breakfast restaurant is right next to the reception desk on one
side, its aesthetic an extension of the bland lounge area. The rooftop pool is small and its concrete deck is lined with plastic loungers, but it does have nice views of the city. D'Fusion, the Indian restaurant, has a livelier look, with black and white prints of old film
stars on the walls. The sports bar, Spirals, is themed to look like an English football pub, with tall wooden tables, a
pool table and flags for Arsenal Football Club hanging from the
ceiling.

On a busy, main road in Al Barsha, a 15-minute walk from the Mall of the Emirates
Situated on a dusty, busy road in Al Barsha First, the Grandeur Hotel is
within walking distance of the Mall of the Emirates and its indoor ski slope, although the walk is not the most picturesque or pleasant in the desert heat. The mall also has a metro
station, from which any area of Dubai can be reached easily in less than 40
minutes. The hotel is about 25 minutes from ‘New
Dubai’ and its marina and beaches, and about 20 from downtown and the business
and financial districts. Jumeirah Beach park is about 15 minutes away on
the free hotel shuttle. The airport is a 20- to 25-minute drive away.

There are 100 rooms and 25 suites at the Grandeur Hotel, all of
which are spacious with relatively new furnishings (from 2008). The rooms are decorated simply but elegantly, with cream-colored walls, hardwood floors, colorful rugs, and dark wood furniture, although they lack much personality. All rooms have a sitting area of varying size, a desk, and plenty of natural light. Bathrooms are modern, with stone tile throughout and a combination shower/tub with a curtain. All rooms have free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs with limited channels, a safe, alcoholic minibar, air-conditioning, and tea-/coffee-making facilities. Some street-facing rooms get street noise.
