Scene

Tropical luxury resort from a high-end chain in the heart of Dubai's city center

From its silver-and-glass space colony architecture to the sprawling indoor gardens and sports-field-size indoor and outdoor pools, everything about the Grand Hyatt is, indeed, grand. Enter the 16-story cluster of buildings and the desert fades away amidst a landscape of tropical plants, palm trees, and gurgling creeks traversed by small
footbridges. Only massive skylights overhead and granite tile underfoot remind you that
you are, in fact, indoors. The outdoor scene is similar, with three enormous
pools separated by palm trees and greenery. Even the buffet breakfast area is upscale, with each
station featuring glass windows of options, although the room can get crowded at peak hours. The indoor pool and fitness center are Olympic quality, the pool 20
meters long and the gym equipped with the latest in high-tech fitness equipment. The mood in each of the 13 restaurants is different, according to the theme of each; for example, the Italian restaurant is outfitted with simple wooden tables and a creek running
alongside the dining area, while the dimly lit jazz club has zebra-striped chairs and a shiny grand piano. There is a circular red
lounge, with a couch running the entirety of the circle, that feels like a cross
between the inside of a space ship and a movie theater. There are clusters of
tables and comfortable lounge areas throughout the hotel, massive banquet spaces both indoors and out, and an executive floor with its own spacious lounge
serving free soft drinks and snacks all day.

Location

In the heart of Dubai, near the Financial and World Trade Centers, walking distance to Cineplex and the metro

Located near Dubai’s historic
creek on Sheikh Rashid Road, the Grand Hyatt is surrounded by other impressive
buildings with elaborate landscaping. It's also a 10-minute car ride from the
airport, a two-minute walk from the nearest metro station (Healthcare City Metro),
a 10-minute walk to Wafi City Shopping mall, a five-minute walk to the Cineplex, a
10-minute metro ride or five-minute car ride from the Dubai World Trade Centre and International Financial Center, and a 10-minute car ride to Dubai Mall and Burj Khalifa. The Ali Free Zone is about 20 minutes away by car.

Rooms

Spacious and modern, in high-end chain style, with huge beds and windows, luxury sound systems, and all modern amenities

The 674 rooms (including 39 suites) at the Grand Hyatt Dubai have oversize beds with luxury linens and are decorated in a classical style that's standard of a high-end chain resort. Headboards, nightstands, cabinets, and shelves are all made of thick, high-quality wood, and the rooms' color palettes are neutral, with patterned beige carpets and olive-hued curtains. Most have a picture window that takes over one wall, some with breathtaking views of Dubai, and most have a large seating area, coffee and tea-making facilities, fresh flowers, and fresh fruit. The suites are sprawling apartments with living areas outfitted with oversize couches and large dining tables with crystal chandeliers overhead. Bathrooms resemble mini spas, with dual sinks, jetted soaking tubs, walk-in glass showers, bathrobes, and slippers. Each room is equipped with free Wi-Fi, a top-of-the-line sound system, flat-screen TV, fully outfitted minibar, and safe.

Features

Full resort-style facilities, including four pools, 13 restaurants, indoor gardens, free Wi-Fi, kids' club, and more

A true resort inside and out, the
Grand Hyatt has three massive outdoor pools lined with plenty of lounge chairs, in addition to a
20-meter indoor pool, a large fitness center with top-of-the-line equipment, and a sprawling spa with a full range of spa and beauty treatments as well as a sauna, steam rooms, whirlpools, and ice bath. There
are pricey 13 restaurants, which cover such cuisines as Italian, Lebanese,
Indian, Singaporean, Japanese, Southeast Asian, and more; bar offerings include a lobby lounge, jazz bar with a rotation of live pianists, and an
outdoor poolside dining area. A comprehensive buffet breakfast is available daily. The extensive event spaces include a large ballroom and
banquet area, as well as meeting rooms; the outdoor garden can also be reserved for banquets and private events. For children, the hotel has a kids' club with a variety of daily activities
and an outdoor kids' pool, as well as babysitting services. The hotel also has an airport
limousine, 24-hour room service, valet service, free parking and Wi-Fi, a shopping gallery, travel desk, an in-house florist, and currency
exchange.
