Guests can choose from three pools surrounded by lush greenery, including a kids' pool. Guest rooms are spacious, with elegant, contemporary decor, though they feel a bit bland decorated in generic neutral hues. But the spaces offer plush, comfortable bedding and an array of modern comforts like large flat-screen TVs, minibars, and free Wi-Fi. Numerous on-site dining and entertainment options include popular clubs and bars, which attract a young clientele. But families are catered to as well with a kids' club and spacious Family Rooms. Scene
Upscale resort with private beach and lots of dining and entertainment options
The Dubai Marine Beach Resort and Spa is an expansive property comprised of a series of low-rise buildings surrounding the resort's private beach. The look of the hotel itself suggests Bali more than Dubai, with lots of cherry wood and lush greenery throughout the grounds. In addition to three azure swimming pools flanked by palm trees and tropical plants, there's a small creek meandering through the property's paths, dotted with mini waterfalls and little bridges, which gives the resort a hideaway feel. The extensive dining and entertainment options, which include several popular bars and nightclubs, attract a young party crowd, though the resort is also popular with families. Some guests report noise issues such as loud hallways when the clubs close, though there is plenty of space and partiers and families for the most part coexist in peace.
Location
Located by Jumeirah Public Beach, between the airport and downtown
Dubai Marine Beach Resort and Spa is located just next to Jumeirah Public Beach on the popular and busy Jumeirah Beach Road. It's situated in a popular tourist area, surrounded by cafes, restaurants, and shopping. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport. And it's a convenient location for business travelers, as the Dubai International Financial Center and the Dubai World Trade Center are both about a 15-minute drive away. Famous Dubai attractions like Wild Wadi Water Park and Ski Dubai are about a 20-minute drive away. Other sights and shopping destinations nearby include the Jumeirah Mosque (five-minute drive), the Dubai Mall (10-minute drive), and the Burj Khalifa (15-minute drive). There's a bus stop serving several lines right outside of the hotel, but the nearest metro station is far and not within walking distance.
Rooms
Spacious, comfortable rooms and suites with elegant, if a bit bland, contemporary decor in neutral hues
The rooms within the 33 villas range from Standard Rooms sleeping two, to Executive Suites, which sleep four. The spacious rooms feature elegant contemporary decor in neutral hues, which is a bit bland, but not unpleasant. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, tea- and coffee-making facilities, minibars, and free Wi-Fi. Ample-sized bathrooms are outfitted in beige tiling, large vanities and mirrors with plenty of storage space, shower/tub combos, as well as waffle-knit robes and Elemis toiletries. Some of the villas also have outdoor whirlpool tubs nestled into corners of the property. Guests report that villas closest to reception are the most convenient. Unfortunately none offer beach views, and all rooms overlook the gardens.
Features
Pristine private beach surrounded by lots of restaurants and bars, plus three pools, a modern fitness center, tennis courts, and spa
The hotel's greatest asset is its private beach with cushioned chaises, large umbrellas, a bar, and a covered outdoor massage area where paid services are on offer. There are also three pools, including one with a waterfall feature as well as a kids' pool. The hotel also offers a kids' club. The fairly large fitness center is equipped with many modern weight machines, but the cardio equipment is outdated and all the televisions are shared. There's a tennis court on the property as well as a spa that offers a wide list of treatments and a Moroccan bath experience in a hammam. The resort has 15 eating and drinking options that vary from upscale restaurants, to a beach bar, to popular nightclubs. Restaurants include a fine-dining Lebanese spot, complete with live music and bellydancers, as well as classic Italian, Thai, Mexican, Japanese, and French. The bars have a similar range with a DJ'ed dance club, a reggae-focused beachside bar, and a classy leather-covered cocktail bar. Most of these establishments features both indoor and outdoor seating and many are beachside. Bars are open until 3 a.m.
