Pros
- Clean, spacious rooms with bay windows and comfortable beds
- Convenient downtown location with easy access to attractions and Hartsfield airport
- Sleek lobby with trendy Lumen Bar
- High-end dining on-site at Atlanta Grill
- Fully equipped business center
- Well-appointed and modern (if slightly small) fitness center
Cons
- Smallish bathrooms with shower/tub combos and hotel-brand toiletries
- Little to do in the area at night
- Fees for Wi-Fi and parking
Bottom Line
The 441-room Ritz-Carlton Atlanta is one of the most luxurious hotel choices downtown, and offers big rooms with plenty of natural light, as well as modern amenities such as flat-screen TVs and iPod docks. The warm, Art-Deco-inspired room decor is luxurious, if lacking some wow factor, but bathrooms are on the smaller side and most have shower/tub combos (no separate tubs). The property does deliver the top-of-the-line service travelers expect from the Ritz brand, as well as impressive features -- a sleek lobby, a trendy bar, and a fine dining restaurant.

In downtown Atlanta, blocks from Olympic Park and other major attractions
The Ritz-Carlton Atlanta is located on Peachtree Street, the historic, bustling artery of Downtown Atlanta. The hotel is blocks from Georgia State University and the Georgia Dome -- home of the Atlanta Falcons -- and many museums and attractions are just a short walk or drive from the hotel.
Once sparsely populated and somewhat seedy, Downtown Atlanta now draws crowds year-round. The neighborhood started as a business and financial hub (and it still is), but has become one of the most interesting areas in the city for locals and tourists. Plentiful hotels, shops and restaurants are housed in gleaming skyscrapers. Other attractions near the hotel include beautiful Centennial Olympic Park, the World of Coca-Cola, and the Georgia Dome.
