This upscale resort sits on a pretty white-sand beach that is filled with fun water sports and sans annoying crowds. Perhaps due to slightly higher rates, the Dreams lacks a raucous spring break crowd and instead attracts families and couples with its large, pristine pool, lovely spa, kids’ club, and daily entertainment. Another major draw is the above-average food, which can be hard to come by at all-inclusives in the D.R.
Scene
This relaxed, upscale option attracts families and couples.
The smaller, more upscale version of its sister property 40 minutes north, this Dreams nonetheless features a long list of amenities spread across sprawling grounds. The sheer size of the property helps to maintain a tranquil vibe, as does the fact that the resort lacks the raucous spring break party crowd, perhaps due to the slightly higher rates. Couples and families can be found roaming the grounds, where manicured lawns run along palm tree-lined pathways that connect the rooms to the resort’s beach, pool, and many restaurants and facilities.
Location
On a pretty, white-sand beach in Bavaro
The Dreams Palm Beach sits on a lovely white-sand beach and is surrounded by other resorts -- but not much else. More centrally located than its sister property 40 minutes north, this resort is a destination unto itself, and most guests do not leave the property until the end of their visit to the D.R.The Punta Cana airport is about a 25-minute, $35 USD cab ride from the resort. Guests will need to drive about 15 minutes to find any nearby nightlife or shopping.

Features
Above-average food and a lovely white-sand beach
Often one of the biggest complaints at all-inclusive properties, the food at the Dreams -- which features eight restaurants –- is decidedly above average. Guests have an array of options, from buffet-style to a la carte to adults-only, and snacks and room service are available throughout the day. Name-brand liquor is also served at the property’s five bars. The main buffet restaurant even offers a DIY Bloody Mary and mimosa bar, which is quite popular. Most guests do not leave the property once they arrive, and for good reason. Sitting on a gorgeous white-sand beach, with tons of water sports and beachside service, the resort features a long list of amenities that make it easy to stay entertained. Daily activities include dance lessons, aerobics classes, and arts and crafts for kids, and the property also includes a kids’ club and teens’ club. Families and couples gather around the pristine pool and, thanks to its size, it never feels crowded. There’s also a fitness center, tennis courts, and a lovely spa with its own tranquil pool and outdoor cabanas. The scene rarely gets raucous, but at night guests can enjoy cocktails in the resort’s five bars, or some gambling at the on-site casino. Evening entertainment includes live shows and movies on the beach, but most are geared towards families.
