This Hampton Inn is surprisingly modern and colorful for the affordable chain, situated in a six-story beige and red building. The slick black reception desk sits directly in front of the glass door entryway, next to which there is a table of free coffee and tea. A fireplace is flanked by a few sets of armchairs, and the lobby is decorated with a set of glass shelves displaying colorful vases and several bright abstract prints on the walls. The breakfast room is colorful, with green- and orange-cushioned wood chairs and banquettes at high and low tables giving the impression of a casual lounge, even though only the breakfast buffet is served here and there is no bar. The pool area is indoor, making it more of a place for exercise or children's play time than lounging. The hotel attracts a wide range of guests, from business travelers to families.

Located in downtown Denver, the Hampton Inn is within a mile (or a 20-minute walk) of the Civic Center, Colorado Convention Center, and Denver Art Museum. The popular 16th Street Mall, with its many shops and restaurants, is less than a 10-minute walk away, and Coors Field can be reached on foot in less than 20 minutes. There are plenty of bus stations within five minutes of the hotel that offer service around Denver. Denver International Airport is about a 35-minute drive away.
