Beach House Dewey

Beach House Dewey is a simple and fresh property, with more of a motel than resort feel to it. From the outside, the L-shaped building looks like an average hotel, apart from the colorful bedroom doors. The outside area in front of the hotel features a parking lot and swimming pool area, along with a few sun loungers, parasols, and benches. At night, the swimming pool comes alive with a fun LED light show. The lobby is bright and modern, with lightly-colored laminate flooring, white seating, wooden logs as side tables, modern beach-themed decor, contemporary artwork, and large windows. While some guests enjoy the close proximity to the lively nightlife, others have complained of the noise coming from the bar across the road, particularly when they host a live band. Beach House Dewey mostly attracts tourists looking to explore the beach and nightlife.

Beach House Dewey prides itself on having a central and convenient location in Dewey Beach. There is no shortage of restaurants, bars, and shops within close walking distance from the hotel. The popular bar and live music venue, Bottle and Cork, is right across the road and other lively nightlife spots like Hammerheads and The Starboard are within a short walk from the property. It's a 20-minute walk, or seven-minute drive, to Rehoboth Beach. Delaware Seashore State Park is an 11-minute drive from the property, along with  Rehoboth Beach Country Club and the Old Landing Golf Course. A trolley stop that goes into Rehoboth is four minutes away on foot. Salisbury-Ocean City Wicomico Regional Airport is the nearest airport, which is about an hour-drive from the property.

The renovated guest rooms at Beach House Dewey are bright and modern. The blue-and-white color palette gives the rooms a fresh, beach-side feel along with the white furniture, light wooden headboard, hardwood floors, patterned lamp shades, and wire seating. The quirky colorful coat hooks, full-length mirrors, and colorful throw cushions are a nice touch. The King Suite includes a cozy lounge area with comfortable sofa, wicker chair, contemporary artwork, and a few potted plants that add greenery to the room. All units include air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, microwaves, mini-fridges, seating areas, and free Wi-Fi. There are no in-room tea- and- coffee-making facilities. All of the rooms have large windows overlooking the swimming pool and parking lot. Bathrooms feature a shower/tub combo and come with hairdryers and eco-friendly wall-mounted dispensers of toiletries. Note that past guests have complained about room cleanliness and noise from the bar across the street. 

Features at Beach House Dewey are rather limited. The highlight is the medium-size swimming pool in the front of the hotel, which includes a few surrounding sun loungers and parasols. There's also a shower on the beach-side entrance of the hotel where guests can rinse off after visiting the beach. There are no breakfast or dining facilities, but there is free coffee in the lobby throughout the day. A few basic conveniences and beach apparel are on sale in the lobby. There are three vending machines located outside of the hotel. On-site parking and Wi-Fi throughout the property are free.
