The Weston, Vermont

Set in a meticulously restored country home in the charming village of Weston, Vermont, The Weston is a luxurious retreat for discerning travelers. Formerly the Inn at Weston, the property was relaunched as The Weston in 2023 by the Sharp family, multi-generational hoteliers who have been involved with iconic hotels, including The Carlyle in New York City and the Beverly Wilshire in Los Angeles.

Well-heeled guests can spend their stay circulating between decadent meals at the onsite Left Bank restaurant, the indulgent spa, a small but well-stocked fitness center, and in warmer months, cocktails and Bocce outside in the garden.

The Weston resides on Main Street in the small village of Weston, Vermont. The hotel is a short drive from three major ski resorts in the winter and offers easy access to a number of hiking trails throughout Vermont’s Green Mountains in summer and fall.

Rooms at The Weston exude elegance, with lush wallpapers, antique furnishings, Lefroy Brooks hardware in the bathrooms, and original art giving each room a unique charm. Four poster beds are lavishly dressed with crisp linens and fluffy duvets. There are plenty of modern amenities as well, including iPads, complimentary WiFi, and gas fireplaces that alight with the touch of a button.

The real star of The Weston is the suites, in particular, number eight. Set in the property’s historic Mill Building, this spacious 845-square-foot suite feels more like a private apartment than a hotel room. Step into the room and find a separate living room with a gas fireplace, custom wet bar, and spaces for dining and working. Through the door, a grand master bedroom awaits, with a second fireplace in front of the four-poster bed, two large closets, and a seating area. The finale is a massive two-room bathroom with double marble vanities and a wetroom with a double rainfall shower and deep soaking tub. The bathroom is stocked with thoughtful touches including bath salts, Diptyque toiletries, a Dyson hair dryer, and a clothes steamer.

The French-inspired restaurant, The Left Bank, serves European cuisine accented by fresh, local New England ingredients and an extensive wine list. It’s open for breakfast, dinner, and room service.

The Weston’s 24-hour fitness center features exercise balls, benches, free weights, and high-end cardio machines including a treadmill and stationary bike. Free bottles of Smartwater, fruit, and towels are provided. A small room off of the fitness center offers yoga mats and blocks and can be utilized for private classes (available upon request).

The Spa at The Weston has rapidly become a wellness destination for the area, offering a wide treatment menu incorporating the Natura Bisse skincare line. A 60-minute massage on the spa’s heated table followed by unwinding in the sauna is a heavenly indulgence on a cold winter’s day.
