Quality Inn Daytona Speedway

The lobby of this two-story hotel has been recently redesigned and has a modern, stylish appeal. Glamorous chandelier-style lights hang above the reception desk that proudly displays the hotel’s numerous awards. There are vibrant red rugs, a chic oversized brown sofa, and a feature wall covered in split-face stone tiles. There are no real grounds to speak of, excepting a few chairs arranged out front, and the hotel is surrounded by a parking lot. The property's interiors are smart, clean, and well maintained throughout, and all rooms are accessed from the exterior. Guests here come from across the spectrum, from couples and families (especially NASCAR and car racing enthusiasts) to business travelers. 

The majority of guests stay here because of its close proximity to the famous Daytona International Speedway, which is right across the busy road fronting the hotel. It’s not so convenient for those wanting to hit Daytona Beach, though, as it’s a 15-minute drive away. The immediate area lacks a whole lot of character, and though guests can walk to 7-Eleven, Target, Panda Express, Taco Bell, and Hooters in five minutes, it's not very accommodating to pedestrians. The Museum of Arts & Sciences is only a 10-minute drive away, as is the Daytona Beach International Airport. Slightly farther afield is the Lower Wekiva River Preserve State Park and Ocala National Forest, which are 45- and one-hour drives respectively, and they are great for nature lovers. Walt Disney World Resort and Orlando's other top attractions are also about an hours' drive from here.

The spacious, contemporary guest rooms here are simple and smart, with fresh, boldly patterned carpets popping against neutral walls, olive green curtains and bed linens, and stylish dark wood furniture and headboards. Pillow-top beds come in king and queen sizes, though we did see a minimal amount of wear-and-tear on some of the furniture when we visited and wall art is generic. All rooms have air-conditioning, microwaves, mini-fridges, flat-screen TVs, and coffeemakers. Bathrooms have large granite vanities, white and off-white tiling, toiletries, and bathtub/shower combos that are spotlessly clean. Family Rooms and Smoking Rooms are also available, though non-smoking guests may want to confirm ahead that they are going to be given non-smoking rooms as the smoke smell can linger otherwise. 

The hotel includes parking, Wi-Fi, and breakfast in the room rate. The hot breakfast buffet has an excellent spread including sausages, eggs, waffles, fresh fruit, and yogurts. Free coffee and a selection of teas are also available for free throughout the day. The breakfast area is just off the lobby, and while it's a little small and gets busy at times, it's a light, bright, and modern space with comfortable tables and chairs. There’s a fitness center and business center on-site which are both available 24-hours a day, as well as a laundry room. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed here, though the hotel does provide free cribs for guests with small children.
