Scene
A family-friendly resort with traditional Floridian design
With four pools, a kids' pool and playground, athletic courts, and tons of activities, the Bahama Bay Resort Orlando offers a family-friendly/kid-friendly environment. Bright-yellow paint coats the exterior of the condos, which have a Floridian plantation-style design, with columns and large windows.
Grounds are well landscaped with water features, trees, and flowers, and there
is seating provided at the pavilions, fishing dock, patios, and pools. Nature
trails also run through the property, providing an opportunity to see wildlife close up. The lobby continues the tropical vibe, with leaf-pattern fabrics on
the couches, wicker furniture, and a granite-topped front desk. Modern and
comfortable, Tradewinds Restaurant and Bar includes pool tables and darts, as
well as island decor and large fans. Plants,
sea life sculptures, and ocean-themed carpeting also tie into the waterfront theme. The bar area has tall rattan chairs, while the
front of the bar is covered in bamboo. Wood floors and glass sculpture add some
trendy features to the otherwise Old Florida ambience.

Rooms
Comfortable and updated, with a lots of living space, full kitchens, and washer/dryers
Since the rooms are privately owned two-and three-bedroom condos, the interiors differ from one another. Some have traditional wicker furniture, while others have modern, square dining tables and granite countertops. Some of the furniture shows scratches and dents. Bedrooms are large, and
most condos embrace a tropical or beach theme with plants, artwork, or floral
patterns. Some of the units have vaulted ceilings. Additionally, all units include lovely screened-in
balconies with tan patio furniture. Kitchens are fully equipped, but some have
extras like blenders, toasters, and coffeemakers. All units have flat-screen TVs and washer/dryers, but housekeeping costs extra. Bathrooms are bathed in neutral tones, and some have garden tubs and walk-in
showers, as well as Institute Swiss amenities.

The water features are the standouts at the Bahama Bay Resort
Orlando. Heated pools and hot tubs with lots of
lounge seating are surrounded by greenery, and there is a children’s
splash pad with water guns and tipping buckets. Additionally, there’s a small
children’s pool with a water umbrella and zero-depth entry. A colorful jungle
gym offers slides and a climbing wall, and there are lighted tennis,
basketball, and volleyball courts. A man-made white-sand beach has a volleyball court and seating under thatched- roof umbrellas. Two on-site restaurants, Tradewinds
Restaurant & Bar and Mambo’s Poolside Bar and Grille, serve American-style fare in a casual atmosphere. Tradewinds is more expensive
than restaurants in the area and serve lunch and dinner, while
Mambo’s offers snacks, pizza, and tropical cocktails next to one of the pools. Guests rate both as only so-so.The fitness center offers a wide range of equipment -- cardio, free weights, and weight-resistance machines -- and large

arcade. Lake Davenport has a small fishing dock, and there's a business center in the lobby, which requires an extra fee. Concierge and room
