Scene
Peaceful, contemporary property with pleasant views and quiet atmosphere
Popular with couples, Elounda Krini Hotel is a small property set a 15-minute walk from the town center. The design throughout is contemporary, simple, and airy, with lots of pale-wood flooring and furniture, white plastic chairs, and pops of blue or lilac in fabrics. Being situated on the main road may contribute to some traffic noise, but the atmosphere is largely quiet. A sunny, central pool area is a relaxing spot, and free welcome and departing gifts of local goods are raved about by past guests. Before being developed for tourism, Elounda was a picturesque fishing village, now transformed into a popular spot for well-heeled tourists staying in extravagant seaside hotels. While Elounda Krini Hotel isn’t one of them, it offers lovely vistas and affordable rates. For a more impressive stay with additional amenities, consider the Blue Palace, a Luxury Collection Resort & Spa, Crete.
