Le Pinarello Hotel

Le Pinarello Hotel makes a great first impression with its charming white and wooden exterior. Potted plants and well-trimmed trees and bushes mark the entrance into a bright white and gray lobby with a minimalist design that features some pillars and a few decorative elements. There’s a sitting room area  with a white woven couch with black cushions, and a shelf of library books. The lobby is probably the least interesting area of the hotel, as areas like the rooftop pool and dining room offer sea views. Rather than tables and chairs, the dining room has woven outdoor furniture with cozy white padding. There are plenty of outdoor wooden terraces surrounded by greenery, with gray armchairs and couches for sitting and interacting with other guests. This boutique-style hotel is open to all types of travelers, but its romantic location and policies like limited pool hours for kids, makes it more adult-friendly. 

Le Pinarello Hotel’s beautiful beachfront location in Sainte-Lucie de Porto Vecchio may be the most attractive feature. Without a restaurant that serves dinner on-site, it’s convenient that there are about seven restaurants within walking distance along the beach. However, you’ll need a car to find other dining options or to explore the area, which is mostly filled with residential homes and shops or restaurants sprinkled here and there. Most activities focus on the ocean, though there is a golf course that’s a 32-minute drive away and an adventure park, Tyroliana, that’s a 16-minute drive from the hotel. It takes a little less than an hour by car to reach the Figari Sud-Corse Airport. 

The nicest thing about the rooms at Le Pinarello Hotel are the balconies and patios that face the sea. Decor wise, the rooms are modern with a spacious design. They vary slightly from room to room, but guests will usually find a cream color-tone base with a mix in floor types like gray carpet, wooden floors, or glossy black floors. They feel slightly elegant with gauzy curtains and stylish white furniture. Tan robes on the beds are a nice touch. All rooms have flat-screen TVs, air-conditioning, safes, free Wi-Fi, and mini-fridges stocked with soda, beer, and juice. Only the Duplex Suites and Apartments have espresso makers, while all other room categories lack coffee- and tea-making facilities. Kettles and coffee and tea can be requested for a fee. Apartments are equipped with kitchenettes and private car parks, but they’re separated from the hotel and the beach. There’s a lot to like about the bathrooms: brown tiles contrast with the sleek white sink countertops and glass showers or shower/tub combos. Cinq Mondes toiletries and hairdryers are provided.  

There are a great deal of facilities at Le Pinarello Hotel, but many are pricey and focus primarily on adult travelers. The hotel sits on a lovely beach with loungers and umbrellas for guests, and waiters are available to offer cold drinks or food from a menu. There are free sea kayaks available for guests to use, while paddleboards, pedal boats, and a boat can be rented. The rooftop pool is another place for guests to lay out and enjoy lovely views and comfy day beds. Kids are only allowed at the pool during certain, limited hours. Guests can stay fit in the small fitness center with a few cardio machines, and then relax in the spa with a massage or beauty treatment. 

Dining options are limited and include a pricey breakfast buffet with a small selection of hot items and mostly cold meats and cheeses, pastries, cereals, and jams. Lunch is served from a gourmet menu on the terrace. The lounge bar has happy hours and there’s a room service menu with limited hours. The hotel doesn’t offer dinner. Other amenities include free Wi-Fi, paid valet parking, and a public computer.
