Scene
Family-friendly resort with lawns and gardens overlooking the sea
Gwel an Mor is situated about a 10 minutes' walk from the beach, and has views of the water throughout its bucolic grounds. Eco-friendly knotty-pine Lodges and minimalist wood Residences dot the property, and stone walkways and roads wind past green lawns lined with nicely landscaped gardens. The lobby is playful and simple, with a knotty-pine ceiling and a dark-brown leather couch, beside which are a croquet set and a plush toy horse. The front desk has a sea-inspired turquoise panel stretching across its length. There's a parking lot outside the reception building, which also houses the pool, gym, and spa and is fronted by neatly kept shrubs and flowering plants. The Terrace restaurant is located inside a wooden lodge-style building with pitched roofs and a large deck lined with a few spiky palm trees. Guests are mainly families looking for outdoor adventures, which are readily available -- there are even cycling trails that begin on the property.
