A charming, historic B&B with a friendly atmosphere
Fernroyd House is a quaint B&B housed in a traditional Edwardian building with a screened gallery, airy spaces with wooden or tiled floors, and steep carpeted stairs. The vibe here is friendly and laid-back. Hosts Avril and Tony -- along with house dogs Chip and Mollie -- greet guests with freshly baked scones and a long list of recommendations for those looking to explore the town. Right off the lobby is the guest lounge, which opens onto a lovely little garden with tons of plants, and a couple of tables and chairs. Decor in the lounge is contemporary, with dark couches, and blonde wood furniture, but the rest of the B&B has more traditional and homey style.
