Guests love how friendly the owners are at the Panorama Hideaway, a favorite value boutique with 16 apartment-like rooms in Dassia. Aptly named, the hotel is perched on a hill, and the views are amazing. There’s a cocktail bar with outdoor seating and a well-reviewed restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The outdoor pool area has views of the sea and mountains. The homey, smaller apartments are charming with kitchenettes, but the family apartments feel a bit older. The hotel is a good fit for couples and families, but it’s on a steep hill which may make accessing nearby areas difficult for some guests. For beach access (with a higher price tag) check out Elea Beach Hotel.
Scene
Serene, family-run boutique
Panorama Hideaway is in a serene area on top of a hill and is a quiet place to relax and enjoy the scenery. In a solarium area of the restaurant, a telescope is set up to take in the inspiring views that Corfu has to offer. Outside is a gorgeous leaf-covered pergola over a stone patio where guests can dine while looking out at the sea. The food at the restaurant receives applause, so it can get busy at night. Mountain and sea views can also be enjoyed from the pool which is surrounded in stone and has a rustic feel with bushes and olive trees surrounding the area. Overall the atmosphere is romantic and relaxed, enhanced by the friendly and warm owners.
Location
Up a steep hill and short walk to main strip of Dassia with restaurants and bars
The hotel can be a little tricky to find for someone new to the area. It’s located in an olive grove on top of a hill and down a gravel path. The main strip of Dassia is within a short walk from the hotel, and there are several bars and restaurants nearby, including the British-owned Great Shakes Bar. The beach can be reached within a 10-minute walk. It’s less than a 30-minute drive to the airport.
Rooms
Charming rooms with cute furnishings and kitchenettes
The smaller rooms at the Panorama are charming with floral curtains and teal covers on the beds. Homey furnishings include pine green desks, bedside tables, and matching framed mirrors. Rooms have wall-mounted TVs. Kitchenettes have hot plates, coffeemakers, and mini-fridges, and a small amount of cookware and dinnerware. The showers in the bathrooms aren’t much more than a curtain in the corner. Some rooms have balconies with sea views. The family apartments available in the pale yellow building are not as nice and new as the other apartments, but some have bigger kitchenettes with stoves as well as shower/tub combos in the bathrooms.
Features
Cocktail bar and restaurant with indoor telescope and outdoor seating
The best feature of the hotel is its amazing views of the ocean and mountains. To better enjoy them, there’s a telescope in the restaurant area, and a cocktail bar serving drinks that can be sipped outdoors on a terrace. The restaurant has three meals a day including tasty Greek and Italian dishes, and the hotel has friendly owners who are very welcoming towards guests. A big outdoor pool is surrounded by lounge chairs and umbrellas.
