Olympian Village Studios and Apartments is a value hotel with 67 spacious rooms near the sea in Kavos. Although the hotel has a playground, a children’s pool, and simple apartment-style rooms available, families may want to look elsewhere as the hotel can be overrun with British youths visiting Kavos to party. The property is handsome with pastel buildings, sea views, palm trees, and grassy lawns, and the pool area is lively with a DJ and organized activities. There’s indoor and outdoor seating at the main bar near the pool, and food and drinks are reasonably priced. Kavos Plaza is another popular pick for those looking to party -- they have a late-night DJ playing music.
Scene
Greek-Mythology-themed hotel popular with a party crowd
Olympian Village pays homage to ancient Greece with hotel blocks named after mythic Greek legends like Zeus and Apollo. Greek statues and boat-themed art decorate the main bar, Argo, named for the ship that carried Jason and the Argonauts to Kolhida. The pool and snack bar area are lively places with a DJ playing music and activities organized for the British youths who frequent the hotel. It’s not uncommon to see teenagers floating on inflatable inner tubes in the children’s pool rather than kids. The hotel grounds are lovely with palm trees decorating the grassy lawns. A large light-blue supermarket with colorful rafts for sale marks the entrance of the hotel. Overall, the atmosphere is definitely party focused -- don't expect a relaxing poolside experience.
