Bottom Line

Renovated in 2010, Aquis Capo di Corfu is an upper-middle-range chain resort on a beautiful beach in Agios Petros with 253 modern rooms. The hotel has a French activities team and is popular with French tourists. There is plenty for kids to do including a playground, children's pool with slides, and game room. There is an activities pool with water aerobics and volleyball and a separate quiet pool, both with gorgeous ocean views. Simple rooms are decorated in neutral tones and have minibars (for a fee), flat-screen TVs, and balconies. An all-inclusive plan is available, which comes in handy as the area is secluded.

Scene

Village resort with pretty beach and fantastic ocean views

Brick paths cut through manicured lawns and pastel buildings with terra-cotta roofs house the rooms. The lobby is simple and bright with high ceilings and striped couches. Outdoor seating on the lobby deck is particularly relaxing; the space is decorated with brown wicker chairs, glass tables, and charming lamp posts. Gorgeous sea views are a highlight throughout the property.

Location

In a secluded area on the beach in the southern part of Corfu

Aquis Capo di Corfu is located on a large beach in Agios Petros on the southern part of Corfu. The hotel is in a secluded area, and there isn’t much nearby. It’s less than two miles away from Lefkimmi, a town with a river running through and cafes where locals dine. The airport is within an hour’s drive.

Rooms

Modern rooms with gorgeous flower arrangements

Rooms are modern with big pictures of flowers decorating the light walls and taupe headboards with coordinating brown bedding. Guests are greeted with gorgeous floral arrangements such as white roses and pink flower petals spread out on the robes and slippers provided on arrival. Some rooms have sea view balconies furnished with wicker chairs. Rooms have coffee/tea kettles, minibars (for a fee), and flat-screen TVs. A variety of room sizes are available including Family Suites with a lofted bed area.

Features

Two pools, tour desk, and a fitness center

The hotel has a souvenir shop and a small fitness center with some exercise machines including two treadmills. The huge lobby has a tour desk to arrange excursions for guests for a fee. The hotel is accessible for those with special mobility requirements, offering wheelchair-friendly pools and paths to the beach. Beach and pool towels are available with a refundable deposit. There are two pools -- one with activities such as aerobics and volleyball and another quiet pool with a peaceful atmosphere. There are two restaurants and three bars on-site, and most guests give the buffets high marks for variety. Both half-board and all-inclusive rates are available, and no wristbands are required -- rather, guests are given a card with their photo to show. Draft beer, wines by the glass, soft drinks, filter coffee, and tea are all covered by the all-inclusive rates, but certain drinks -- such as espressos -- are not. Room service is available for a fee.
