The Golden Sands Hotel is a value property with some nice features. There are colorful hammocks strung between tall palm trees and lounge chairs spread out on the lawns. The lobby is nicely maintained with cream colored modular seating near a flat-screen TV, billiards table, and bookshelf with books and boardgames. The hotel has a relaxed vibe, at the outdoor swimming pool and beyond.

The Golden Sands Hotel is located on a quiet paved road in a neighborhood with vacant lots and a nearby supermarket accessible via a sidewalk. There's beach access from the hotel down an unkempt path. Past guests recommend renting a scooter or ATV to get around the island, though there is a bus stop to Corfu town just in front of the hotel. Parking at the hotel is free.
