Bottom Line

The Inn at Cocoa Beach is a 50-room boutique hotel with an oceanside location. The property significantly deviates from chain aesthetics and offers a bed-and-breakfast vibe. Guest units are decorated individually, with more expensive rooms having the most space and higher-quality furnishings. Views from most of the rooms consist of the hotel’s large pool and the beach. The venue also offers free breakfast. Nearby properties such as Comfort Inn & Suites Port Canaveral Area and Four Points by Sheraton Cocoa Beach have significantly cheaper rates; however, they are not located as close to the beach.

Scene

B&B-style hotel along Cocoa Beach

Situated on Ocean Beach Boulevard, Inn at Cocoa Beach is a four-story building decorated to feel more like a home than a hotel. Exterior walls are painted coral with the roof offering burgundy hues. The hotel’s lobby mimics a living room with a sofa, two easy chairs, and a coffee table. The common space also includes a large bar area and additional sitting room with several sofas and tables. The back of the property has a large deck with an equally large rectangular pool surrounded by lounge chairs. Guests will also come across a boardwalk to the beach.

Location

Near array of local attractions and dining spots

Inn at Cocoa Beach is located on the beach, with only a boardwalk between the property and sand. Several local attractions are located within a 30-minute drive of the hotel, including Port Canaveral, Jetty Park, Shepard Park, Brevard Zoo, and Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Several restaurants are also found just a short walk away, including A N.Y. Pizza House, Branos Italian Grill, Epic Burrito Company, Thai Fuku, and more. Melbourne International Airport is about 35 minutes south by car.

Rooms

Uniquely decorated rooms made to feel more like a home than hotel

Each room is individually decorated with the usual furnishings of a bed, a chair or two, and nightstands; most units do not have dressers. Some spaces feature a blend of country and cottage furnishings whereas others have both contemporary and traditional pieces that exude class and touches of luxury. Standard rooms are somewhat small and slightly cramped, with bathrooms that are more outdated than those found in Deluxe counterparts. Deluxe rooms are not only bigger but also have higher-quality furniture and the best views of the ocean and pool. (Keep in mind that certain spaces overlook the hotel’s garbage dumpster, so be sure to ask about the view before booking.) Bathrooms consist of showers, tubs, or shower/tub combos.

Features

Large pool, free breakfast and free Wi-Fi, and party room for gatherings

Guests of the inn can enjoy a large pool with plenty of lounge chairs for sunbathing. The hotel doesn’t exactly have an on-site restaurant but it does have a large dining area that hosts a free hot and cold breakfast each morning, as well as a nightly happy hour. (The bar has an honor system that allows guests to serve themselves at their leisure and then charge it to their rooms.) For guests planning to coordinate meetings, reunions, or large group gatherings, the dining area can be transformed into an elegant or casual party room that can accommodate up to 40 people. A full kitchen and bar can be used for these group events. Other features of the inn include a small gym and free Wi-Fi.
