Bottom Line

The 25-room Palm Pavilion Inn is a value beachfront hotel within walking distance of several restaurants, shops, and parks in Clearwater Beach. The property offers simple, if bland, rooms with mini-fridges, flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi, as well as apartments with fully equipped kitchens, some with furnished patios and lovely ocean views. Beach access plus an outdoor pool are available, and there is a great on-site grill and bar with live entertainment daily. There's also a small gift shop and a rooftop deck provides more space for sun lounging and ocean views. There is no business center or elevator, however. There are several similar properties in the area, such as the Enchanted Inn on the Bay and the Ebb Tide Motel, so travelers might want to compare rates.

Scene

Budget beachfront hotel with exceptional ocean views

The three-story Palm Pavilion Inn mixes a beach feel with Art Deco touches with its brightly colored facade of teal and lime green. A welcoming atmosphere permeates throughout this simple, budget property, where a couple of outdoor chairs and
tables flank the entrance to the pleasant, bright lobby lined with beige tiles and wallpaper. Though decor is a bit dated and bland, the space is full of natural light and provides comfortable seating as well as a
flat-screen TV. The hotel's restaurant, Palm Pavilion Beachside Grill & Bar, is located in a separate, neighboring building right on the beach and has a tropical feel
with wood floors, bamboo columns, and colorful bar stools, as well as fish and bright, tropical prints adorning the colorful walls. Aluminum siding on the bar and walls give the space a beach shack feel. There's plenty of outdoor seating on a covered deck that offers fantastic ocean views.

Location

Located on the beach, within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and Pier 60 Park

The beachfront property is located in Clearwater Beach on
the Gulf of Mexico and within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and Pier 60
Park. The Clearwater Marine Aquarium
is a five-minute drive, while Sand Key Park and Harborview Center are around a
10-minute drive. Both the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport and the
Tampa International Airport are around 30 minutes away. This hotel is across the street from the Clearwater Fire Department, so guests may hear occasional sirens.

Rooms

Simple, tropical-themed rooms with traditional amenities, plus one-bedroom apartments with fully-equipped kitchens

Tropically-themed rooms are
contemporary, but basic and a bit bland, and include standard rooms as well as one-bedroom apartments. Mauve bed runners are paired with multicolored pillows and
bright accent walls in soft lime green or sky blue shades, while rooms with living spaces have sleeper sofas. All rooms have air-conditioning, 32-inch flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, safes, and free Wi-Fi. Some also have wet bars with microwaves, sinks, mini-fridges,
toasters, and coffeemakers, while apartments have fully-equipped
kitchens with ranges, microwaves, coffeemakers, and full-size refrigerators (but no dishwashers). Daily housekeeping is provided and some
rooms offer gorgeous ocean views and patios with seating. Bathrooms are standard with patterned wallpaper, white pedestal sinks, and either shower/tub combos or small walk-in showers, plus hairdryers and Bath & Body Works
toiletries.

Features

Direct beach access, outdoor pool, rooftop sun deck, and on-site restaurant/bar

Guests have direct access to a beautiful white-sanded beach and the hotel offers free beach towels. Umbrellas, cabanas, and beach chairs are also available for rent. There's a lovely outdoor pool surrounded by a sun deck
with white lounge chairs and shaded tables. There's also a rooftop deck with lounge chairs that offers beautiful beach and ocean views. Local cuisine in addition to cocktails, wine, and frozen drinks are served at
the Palm Pavilion Beachside Grill & Bar, plus there’s daily
live entertainment and free coffee in the mornings. The on-site gift shop offers clothing, beach accessories, and various other sundries. There is no business center, however, and guests must be over
25 to check-in. Guests should also note that this three-story property does not have an elevator.
