DreamView Beachfront Hotel & Resort

A cheerful atmosphere flows through the DreamView Beachfront Hotel & Resort. The renovated lobby has gray tile with a wood front desk and lots of windows for natural light; some offer pool and water views. The modern theme continues into the Sands Beach Bar & Grill, with white tile, chairs, tables, and yellow ceilings. Wood decorates the bar area, which has white leather high chairs, several flat-screen TVs, and a few beach items hanging on the walls. Black wicker furniture with white umbrellas covers the outdoor bar area, and there's a white pavilion with flat-screen TVs. The grass-roof Tiki Bar is on the beach, along with a fire pit next to it. 

This hotel's location is on the beach with Captain Bligh's Landing, restaurants, and shops within walking distance. Pier 60 Park, Sand Key Park, and Clearwater Marine Aquarium are a five-minute drive from the hotel, while Bright House field and Dunedin Stadium are 15 minutes away. St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport and John’s Pass Village Boardwalk are both about a 25-minute drive, and Tampa International Airport is about a 30-minute drive, but the trip might take longer in high season, when traffic can be quite heavy.

The stylish guest rooms have light wood floors, padded leather headboards, and tan comforters decorating the space, while wood armchairs with orange pads or tan leather couches give extra seating. Large sliding glass doors provide ample natural light. Some rooms have balconies with wicker seating and panoramic water views. Brightly lit bathrooms have shower/tub combos and toiletries, but the speckled granite countertops don't offer much space to store items. All rooms come with flat-screen TVs, mini-fridges, coffeemakers, and free bottled water. Beach towels, which are included in the mandatory resort fee, and newspapers are also provided. Be aware that some rooms get pool and beach noise.

Access to the beach is the highlight at this hotel, and its beach cabanas have memory-foam mattresses. The outdoor pool has excellent water views, a brick deck, and tan lounge chairs, along with palm trees. Sands Beach Bar & Grill serves American cuisine and drinks at the lobby bar, restaurant, and terrace lounge, and there are tropical cocktails along with beachside drink service available at the Tiki Bar. A 24-hour Grab-n-Go Cafe has snacks, drinks, and sundries, and there is a small on-site Starbucks with coffee and snacks. The small fitness center, which is open 24 hours a day, has an assortment of cardio machines, and floor-to-ceiling windows make it a bright spot to work out. The business center, with two computers and faxing and copying services, is also open 24 hours a day. Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, including at the beach, and it's part of the mandatory resort fee, which also covers parking, cabana beach loungers, and beach towels.
