The hotel’s name, “Il Giardino Incantato,” or “Magical Garden,” was inspired by its storybook-perfect area with a stone path surrounded by lawns with lemon trees. Hydrangea bushes brim with purple and blue bundles of petals, and round tables placed throughout the space with small, colorful pots full of purple flowers provide a lovely spot for breakfast. Inside the 16th-century house, a guest book on a wooden podium invites visitors to make a personal record of their stay. A small bookshelf holds paperback travel books about Italy. Lovely fresh flowers cut from the garden perfume the space.The attentive hosts, Fausto and Mariapia, provide guests with thoughtful extras such as fresh fruit in the rooms, evening limoncello, and a bag with towels for the beach.
