Decor is kept to a minimum, baring a lovely collection of framed photographs from around the city in one of the lounge areas. There's a relaxing outdoor patio space with a few wicker seats and loungers topped with bright orange cushions, as well as a central fire pit. The breakfast area offers a relaxing environment, with a combination of cafe-style and bar-style brown leather seats as well as a lounge area with sofas and a flat-screen TV. Guests here are a combination of leisure and business travelers, with both the location and features suiting both.

The College of Charleston is about a 16-minute walk or three-minute drive away. The South Carolina Aquarium, the Historic Charleston City Market, and Gibbes Museum of Art are each a six-minute drive from the hotel. The Charleston Area Convention Center is 15 minutes by car. A public parking lot, owned by the City of Charleston, is located adjacent to the hotel (for additional charges). There's a bus stop a two-minute walk from the hotel. It's a 15-minute drive to Charleston International Airport.
