The Savoy Beach Hotel is a sprawling luxury resort set a few hundred feet back from the Tyrrhenian Sea. A popular destination both with families and wedding parties, this is a grand property with traditionally elegant decor. There is little immediately surrounding the resort, and besides a formal restaurant that gets fairly consistent high marks from guests, little in the way of alternative dining options or shops (unless guests take a car or an expensive taxi into the town of Paestum, which is about three miles away). Rooms are plain but elegant and comfortable with minibars and marble bathrooms. Guests have noted that the amenities, in particular the beautiful, greenery-surrounded pool, are often occupied by events.
