Hotel La Playa

Located on the ground floor of one of the hotel’s two main buildings, the lobby at the Hotel La Playa is split into two separate areas. The reception desk is in the front room, a small area with marble floors and wooden furnishings, and after checking in guests continue through to the main area of the lobby, a bright and colorful room with plenty of seating. Guests can then head upstairs or to the other building to find their rooms, or visit the garden and patio located between the two buildings.

Tucked between the sea and the charming village of Acciaroli, located on a quiet, peaceful street, this hotel offers guests easy access to the restaurants and shops in town as well as the coast. Both the guest rooms and the dining areas take advantage of this property’s location right on its own private beach, overlooking the water. Travelers that want to explore the area will find a number of dining and entertainment options just a short walk away, and the hotel’s location near the main roads make it easy to explore the rest of the region as well as nearby towns and villages.

While the rooms at the Hotel La Playa are fairly simple and not particularly large or luxurious, they are clean, decorated with basic furnishings and thin comforters. Colors vary, but many are done in shades of blue and white. Most have tile floors. There are several room configurations with different sizes of beds, but all rooms include a television, minibar, air-conditioning, and a small private balcony or terrace with a view of the town or the sea. While Wi-Fi is free in public areas, it is not available in guest rooms. Additionally, guests that cannot use the stairs should request a room in the front building, since the back building closer to the water does not include an elevator. Expect some signs of wear and the occasional maintenance issue.

Although this property offers a fantastic location overlooking the water, giving guests easy access to both the sea and the nearby historic village, there are few other major features for guests. The private beach is easy to access and includes plenty of lounge chairs as well as a beach bar, serving cocktails and appetizers as well as a small evening buffet. Note that the sand can get quite crowded, though. The free daily breakfast is served on the terrace, but it gets mixed reviews from guests. The restaurant offers beautiful views of the water in addition to Mediterranean fare; many ingredients come from local farms. Both half and full board rates are on offer, but are not recommended, as there are many more food options just a few minutes' walk away in town.The property does not include a pool or fitness center, though a small children’s play area and a public computer are available. Only one of the buildings includes an elevator.The hotel allows pets for free, and there is parking on-site.
