The Riverside Lodge is a mid-range bed-and-breakfast situated in a Georgian home in the English countryside, about a 20-minute drive from the heart of Bath. All three guest rooms have a shared bathroom, but rooms are individually decorated with charming country decor as well as wood floors, TVs, electric kettles, and bathrobes. Guests rave about the owners, who offer a friendly, home-away-from-home experience. The breakfast served in the dining room or outdoor garden terrace is a real highlight. For guests who'd rather be closer to town, there are lots of three-pearl hotels in Bath proper, such as Royal Hotel or The Halcyon, but the atmosphere in these isn't as intimate.
