The pool area is particularly attractive, and a tennis court and Asian-inspired Ananda Spa can also be found on-site. A Brazilian buffet breakfast is included in the room rates, and Wi-Fi is free in all areas. However, the hotel is about 10 minutes from town by car, so some may choose to stay in a more centrally located downtown hotel.
Scene
This romantic Mediterranean resort has a low-key, tropical vibe.
The Pousada Pedra Da Laguna offers romantic, Mediterranean-style public areas and rooms in a tropical setting. The pousada has successfully created an elegant lobby-lounge with stylish sofas, armchairs, paintings, and antiques. The decor is complemented by fresh and dried flowers, and well-chosen textiles. The pool area is equally stunning and well-maintained. The elegant, yet laid-back, vibe continues in the garden area, as well as in the Asian-inspired Ananda Spa, which features a cozy relaxing area, massage and treatment rooms, and a steam room. The rooms also have a romantic vibe with canopied beds, rustic-style wooden furniture, and beautiful carpets. Though it's not quite considered upscale, the Pousada nonetheless creates an elegant enough setting that many honeymooners stay here, and the hotel is a popular venue for weddings and receptions.
Location
Close to Ferradura beach, but a bit far from the Búzios downtown area
The Pousada Pedra Da Laguna is located a five-minute walk from Ferradura beach, which is among the most popular of the more than 20 beaches on the Armacão dos Búzios Peninsula. But this location has its pros and cons: It is nice and quiet, but most guests must arrive by car, as downtown Búzios is some 10 minutes away driving. The immediate neighborhood offers few dining or shopping options. The Ferradura beach is generally sheltered and calm, making it a solid option for families. Chairs and umbrellas are available for rent, and there are food, beer, and bikini vendors. Some kiosks offer SUP-boards and swan paddle-boats to rent as well.Búzios downtown is famous for its Rua das Pedras and Orla Bardot streets that feature fine dining, boutiques, art galleries, and night clubs. The city gets particularly crowded during the daytime in the summer when luxury ships dock in front of the small harbor.
Rooms
Simple and romantic rooms, all with balconies or patios
The Pousada Pedra Da Laguna features 34 elegant and spacious rooms in three categories: Standard, Deluxe, and Superior Deluxe. It also features the Bardot Suite and the Laguna Suite, which are often booked by honeymooners. The rooms have light ceramic tiled floors, and walls are painted in pleasant pastel colors. High vaulted ceilings give the feel of extra space. The rooms feature canopied beds, carpets, locally made rustic tables, side tables, and armchairs with lovely fabrics. Overall, the look is simple yet romantic. All rooms have furnished, good-sized balconies or patios, but some lack nice views. Rooms come with air-conditioning, ceiling fans, safety boxes, 32-inch LCD TVs, and minibars. The suites also come with DVD players. The bathrooms materials vary from ceramic tiles to modern cement. They have a fresh look, but some feel a bit small. All come with shower areas, toiletries, and hairdryers.
