This older property primarily attracts people who are traveling on a dime, and want accommodations that are close to the airport for a night or two. Guests don't tend to mingle while grabbing breakfast -- the room is cramped and has limited seating -- and the lobby is also small, and isn't a place to sit and linger. But the outdoor pool area is a gathering spot when the weather is acceptable. Overall, the vibe is relaxed and quiet, although the outside traffic noise from the busy road creates a bit of an edge.

The Quality Inn Burbank Airport is located along a busy road, about a seven-minute drive from downtown Burbank. The hotel is next to Interstate 5, only a four-minute drive from Burbank Bob Hope Airport. Commuter trains run right by the hotel, creating a fair amount of noise when combined with the road traffic. The immediate area is a mix of commercial and residential properties, and while generally safe, some guests have reported feeling a bit uneasy about walking in the area at night. However, there's little to walk to, with only a Jack in the Box fast food restaurant nearby. The Walt Disney Studios, Warner Brothers Studios, and Universal Studios are nine- 13-, and 16-minute drives, respectively. Old Pasadena (where the Rose Bowl is located) and Dodger Stadium can be reached in about 20 minutes by car. Driving to Los Angeles International Airport takes approximately 50 minutes, depending on traffic.

Guest rooms make a better first impression than the rest of the property. The bright and tasteful decor can vary, but expect to find gold or salmon bedspreads and contemporary wood furniture. Spaces are comfortable and roomy, and have desks, leather office chairs, and some Executive rooms have sleeper sofas and armchairs. Standard amenities include microwaves, mini-fridges, coffeemakers, flat-screen TVs, and free Wi-Fi. Several past guests have reported various maintenance and housekeeping issues. But the biggest issue is the significant noise from the busy roads and trains that run past at all hours. Bathrooms are average in size and appearance for a budget hotel, but they do include granite vanities with plenty of room, plus hairdryers and ample toiletries. The hotel offers King, Queen, and Double Queen rooms. 

Amenities are limited at this no-frills hotel, and geared toward transient travelers -- but the hotel does offer plenty of freebies. There's a free hot breakfast buffet that includes eggs, but the space where it’s served is cramped, with only a couple of tables and little room to maneuver between other guests while getting food. Other freebies include fruit and water in the lobby, newspapers during the week, Wi-Fi throughout, and an airport shuttle, although it doesn't operate 24/7. There's also an outdoor heated pool and whirlpool surrounded by loungers, and an on-site laundry facility. There's no charge to park on-site, and some of its covered, but the overall area is a bit tight.
