Pros
- Great central location within walking distance to area attractions
- Modern, minimalist room decor
- Spacious fitness center with sauna, therapeutic Scottish showers, and great city views
- Lobby bar has plenty of seating and a great happy hour deal
- Soundproof windows and blackout curtains for great sleep
- Free Wi-Fi and free breakfast
Cons
- Standard rooms are on the small side
- Some rooms have depressing views of the alley
Bottom Line
Vista Sol is a simple, modern property almost feels more like a complex of urban studio apartments than a mid-size, mid-price hotel. The standard rooms are small, but the sophisticated, minimalistic design leaves a surprising amount of useful space. The hotel has little more than a small fitness center and sauna, plus a basic restaurant, but it is clean and centrally located to tourist attractions and the city's business center. Overall it's a nice value -- in this city, it's easy to pay a lot more for a lot less.
