Bulnes Eco Suites

Behind the plain and modern stone facade of Bulnes Eco Suites is an interior that manages to be both sleek and fun. The hotel opened in 2014 and features colorful, contemporary decor in its bright common spaces -- though there are few public areas here. The lobby is fairly sparse, with a built-in front desk, two purple benches, and floor-to-ceiling windows adorned with a frosted design of leaves. Pale lime-green walls are a playful backdrop in the rooftop lounge area, where cream couches and a couple of tables and chairs provide a gathering space. The lounge opens onto an outdoor patio furnished with colorful Acapulco chairs, as well as a wooden deck with a hot tub. The property is a great choice for those wishing to stay in the Palermo district, and attracts a diverse mix of guests, including families, couples, and even business travelers drawn by the spacious rooms with kitchenettes. 

The hotel is located on a busy road in the Palermo neighborhood, a stylish district filled with cafes, restaurants, and shops. Alto Palermo Shopping Mall is just a five-minute walk away. The MALBA museum is a 23-minute walk from the hotel, while the famous La Recoleta Cemetery, known for its mausoleums, is about a 10-minute drive or 20 minutes via public transportation. Though a bit far from the city center and its attractions, the area is well served by public transit, with a metro station and several bus stops within a three-minute walk of the hotel. Many top attractions are within easy reach via subway or bus, including Teatro Colón (14 minutes away), Buenos Aires Metropolitan Cathedral (15 minutes away), Plaza de Mayo (16 minutes away), Casa Rosada (17 minutes away), and Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes (25 minutes away). It’s a 15- to 30-minute drive to Jorge Newberry International Airport, depending on traffic, while Ministro Pistarini/Ezeiza International Airport is 40 minutes to an hour away.

Rooms here feature a contemporary style that's bright and airy, with natural light streaming from floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors that open onto furnished balconies. The wooden floors, cream headboards, dark wooden furniture, and colorful bed accents make for stylish spaces with a cheerful vibe. Playful pops of color -- like fuchsia or sea-green -- can be seen in paintings, nightstands, and other details. All rooms have sleek kitchenettes equipped with microwaves, mini-fridges, sinks, kitchenware, and kettles, though they lack stovetops for cooking. Other comforts include flat-screen TVs, free Wi-Fi, air-conditioning, and safes. Triple and Quadruple Rooms also include leather couches. Bathrooms are a bit small, but clean and elegant, with marble sinks, showers with glass doors, hairdryers, and free toiletries. 

This property offers limited but convenient features that includes a free breakfast of fruit, cereal, pastries, yogurt, and tea/coffee -- it's basic fare, but some guests complain that it's limited. It's served in the attached Café del Botanico, or can be delivered directly to guest rooms at no extra cost -- as can other meals from the cafe during the day. There’s also a sleek lounge area with tables, chairs, and couches that serves as a pleasant gathering space. It leads to an outdoor patio that has funky colorful chairs and a hot tub. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout. There is no parking on-site.
