Scene

Contemporary boutique hotel with a bar and a sunny breakfast room

The Three Corners Hotel Bristol is a four-story building built in 1886 that was refurbished and opened in 2009. Its modern interior touches create a stylish atmosphere. A small arched doorway -- etched with two fanciful Bs -- is adorned with Italian, Romanian, and EU flags. The entryway is covered in a neutral-colored damask wallpaper. Classically decorated hallways have red patterned carpeting and there are two elevators. The illuminated facade of the reception desk sits beside the trendy Drink Bar, with red stools, a crystal chandelier, and a red rug. There's a lounge area across from the front desk with classic, comfy furniture.  The Bristol Garden breakfast room -- accessible through the lobby -- is stylishly furnished with dark rattan furniture, blue sofas, and a skylight ceiling that provides a lot of natural light. There's a free breakfast buffet of international and Hungarian fare.

Location

In the eighth district, near inner Budapest

Three Corners Hotel Bristol is located on a busy four lane street, four blocks from the Keleti palyaudvar metro station. The Budapest-Keleti Railway Terminal, Arena Plaza and Erkel Szinhaz Theater are all within walking distance. Commerce in the immediate area includes a market, cafes, shops, other hotels and a Pizza Zona pizzeria. It’s 30 minutes by tram or bus to Matthias Church and Buda Castle and the War History Museum is a half-hour away by bus. Shoes on the Danube is a 22-minute metro ride, and it’s a 15-minute Metro ride to the Central Market Hall. Budapest Airport is a 25-minute drive away.

Rooms

Clean, traditionally furnished rooms with flat-screen TVs and safes, some with balconies

The hotel offers Comfort Double, Comfort Triple, Comfort Family,
Deluxe, and Executive Rooms. Most have parquet flooring and classic furnishings
-- including writing desks -- in a neutral color palette. Rooms have
hypoallergenic bedding, but guests have complained of small bedspreads. All
rooms come with free Wi-Fi, safes, air-conditioning, and flat-screen TVs, and
most have minibars. Windows face the streets or other buildings. Bathrooms
have hairdryers and walk-in showers or shower/tub combos. Executive Rooms offer
balconies, Nespresso coffee machines, bathrobes, slippers, welcome gifts,
sofas, bar drink vouchers, and free late checkout. Deluxe Rooms have electric
kettles, sitting areas, bathrobes, and lobby bar and minibar discounts and also
offer free late checkout service. Wheelchair accessible rooms are available on
request, as are pet-friendly rooms.

Features

Meeting rooms, business services, a fitness corner, and a sauna

The hotel offers two classically designed meeting rooms for
private functions: The Munkacsy Room and the Csontvary Room, each of which can
fit up to 35 people. The Bristol Garden breakfast room can also be rented out
for gatherings of up to 70 people and business services, catering, and coffee
are available on request. Flip charts, laptops, and LCD projectors are also
available and Wi-Fi is free throughout the property. There's a small
fitness corner with a stationary bicycle, a treadmill, showers, and a Finnish
sauna. Luggage storage is available in the lobby, and there's a self-service
shoeshine machine along with a lobby bar and a breakfast room with free
breakfast.
