Bottom Line

From the fully-equipped suites to the prime location near the ruin bars of Budapest, Queen's Court is an upscale hotel with 71 suites that offer a solid value. Because it’s a U-shaped hotel, there’s an inner courtyard and garden that is beautifully maintained, with statues and Victorian lamps that make the hotel seem very romantic.  Other hotels in the area include Hotel Unio, but unlike Queen's Court, Hotel Unio does not have a spa or pool, and the rooms are smaller. Still, the spa at Queen's Court isn't very large.

Oyster Hotel Review

Queen’s Court Hotel & Residence

Scene

Calm, warm and sophisticated atmosphere with a romantic edge

The U-shaped building's ground floor features a spacious art deco lobby which has classic black-and-white flooring, leather sofas, gold mirrors, and marble fireplaces. It’s a sophisticated spot, but doesn’t feel stuffy or unwelcoming. It’s very popular with couples, possibly due to the romantic spa area and chandelier-lit swimming pool, as well as the picturesque courtyard, although families and business people frequent this popular hotel too.

In a neighborhood full of cafes and bars, four blocks from the Oktogon

Queens Court Hotel and Residence is a 10-minute walk from the main tourist areas on the Pest side of the river Danube. Nearby is St. Stephen's Basilica, completed in 1905 and considered the most important religious edifice in Hungary. Budapest Sports Arena, the biggest indoor sports arena in Hungary is nearby.  It’s two blocks from Franz Liszt Academy of Music, three blocks from Ferenc Liszt Square, and four blocks from Oktogon. Hungarian State Opera House is 10 minutes away and Keleti train station is a 15-minute bus ride away. The hotel is also 30 minutes away from the zoo.

Rooms

Many rooms have balconies and kitchenettes.

All rooms here are actually suites, so even the standard rooms are large with good-sized beds and plenty of closet room, as well as kitchenettes which include microwaves, refrigerators, dishwashers, and kettles. For more room, each superior suite includes a living area and the bed in a separate room, along with a larger kitchen area. The deluxe suites include dining areas and separate bedrooms, and two-bedroom suites are also available. The decor is classic and sophisticated, if a bit bland, considering the neutral decor. Some bathrooms are small and poorly lit, with dated fixtures.
