Bottom Line

Hotel Parlament is one of the trendiest upscale hotels in Budapest, and is located in Leopold Town, the business and government hub of central Pest. The hotel's modern interior decor provides a stark contrast from the classic exterior of the building. Bold colors, high ceilings, and unique lighting fixtures and furniture provide a fun setting. The 65 guest rooms are spacious, clean, and minimalistic. There are a wellness center, a bar, a breakfast room with free breakfast, and meeting rooms, but there's no on-site parking. Those who would prefer an Inner City location in Pest should consider the comparable Bohem Art Hotel, which is also often a bit cheaper.

Hotel Parlament

Scene

Trendy, modern decor with a warm atmosphere popular with mature guests

The modern, trendy, artistic decor is the last thing you'd expect to be inside the beautiful, classical building that houses the Hotel Parlament. With glass ceilings, large, metallic light fixtures, and patterned carpets, the hotel resembles an art gallery, but still has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. There are plenty of lounge areas with bold colored chairs and couches in unique shapes. It's popular with older visitors and its central location makes it a good choice for leisure travelers.

Buda and Pest are located on opposite sides of the Dabune River, and these two areas (once distinct cities) were united in 1873. Hotel Parlament is located in the fifth district, Pest's city center. It's in the northern part of the fifth district, Leopold Town, which is a hub for business and government. The Inner City, the southern portion of the fifth district, is a bit more popular with tourists, and can be reached on foot in under half an hour (or a five-minute cab ride).

The Gellert Baths are a 10-minute drive away. The shopping at Vaci utca and the Great Market Hall are a five-minute drive away, and it takes around the same amount of time to reach the Hungarian National Museum.
