Adina Apartment Hotel Budapest

Adina Apartment Hotel Budapest has a quiet and comfortable atmosphere thanks largely to its location outside the city centre. The public spaces have a pleasant, contemporary style, though it's a bit generic and chain-like. Expect lots of warm earth tones in the spacious lobby, which is outfitted with two gray mid-century couches two brown leather chairs surrounding a patterned deep-purple rug, built-in wooden bookcases, and a fireplace. Another seating area with purple suede chairs overlooks the lovely outdoor courtyard, which houses dark-brown wicker love seats topped with orange and yellow cushions. The pool, fitness, and spa area add to the open, modern feel with wall-to-wall windows, chic double-wide wicker loungers, sandstone tile on the walls, and a royal-blue ceiling painted above the pool. 

Most guests are business travelers or tourists looking for a reliable, self-catering option with easy transport to the city centre. Unlike several hotels in Budapest, the Adina Apartment Hotel is housed in a contemporary building that lacks the history and charm of its counterparts, but allows for larger spaces and a more modern design. 

Adina Apartment Hotel Budapest is located on the northern edge of Pest's city centre in District XIII. In contrast to the older, quieter, and hiller Buda, Pest is the more metropolitan, newer, and populous side of the merged twin cities. The immediate area has a supermarket and a few cafes and shops. Beyond the 13-minute walk to the WestEnd City Center Shopping Mall (the largest mall in the city), most other attractions and sights are between 20 to 40 minutes away on foot. However, there are several public transit options nearby; the blue line's Lehel ter stop is a six-minute walk. Additionally, both the Nyugati ter gold-line stop and the 24-hour tram stop along the riverfront can be reached within 15 minutes on foot. 

This is still a fairly convenient location for business travelers and tourists who don't mind walking longer distances, relying on public transit (we do not recommend taking cabs in Budapest), or want a fairly direct route to the airport. Budapest Airport is around an hour's journey from the closest blue-line metro stop, though travelers should pad in an extra 30 minutes to be safe. Underground parking is available for a daily fee.

The Adina Apartment Hotel Budapest's 97 rooms have contemporary, albeit run-of-the-mill, earth-tone decor. Still, rooms are spacious and comfortable, sporting carpet floors, wood-panel headboards, mirrored closets, floating bedside tables, and thick fabric curtains along floor-to-ceiling windows that bring in lots of light. Studios have either king or twin beds; stocked kitchenettes with two electric burners, full-sized sink, coffeemaker, kettle, microwave, dishes, pans, and cutlery; small writing desk topped with a flat-screen TV, and a sitting area with two chairs. The one- and two-bedroom apartments provide significantly more space, adding a full kitchen, dedicated living room, dining room, and balcony with chairs. Two-bedroom units have the bonus of in-room laundry facilities.  

All rooms have cable TV, old-school safes, and contemporary bathrooms with hairdryers, shampoo pumps on the wall, and heated towel racks; most have shower/tub combinations, though some two-bedroom units have walk-in showers instead. Wi-Fi costs a fee.

This hotel would most likely fall into a lower-pearl category if it weren't for some of its standout features, including the indoor heated swimming pool, fitness center, and spa area. The pool's longer-than-usual length means swimming laps is possible, and since it's heated, it can be used year-round. Beside the pool, guests will find an above-ground whirlpool and row of chic, double-wide wicker loungers. On the other side of the glass, there's an outdoor sundeck. The opposite glass wall looks into the small gym where cardio and strength-training equipment can be found. The on-site spa offers massage treatments to mixed reviews, plus a steam room and sauna. 

The on-site restaurant only serves a well-reviewed breakfast, but room service is available for lunch and dinner. Freebies include Wi-Fi and 24-hour tea and coffee in the lobby, plus luggage storage.
